Also, if 'Chillin' With You' didn't have the broke ass urban break in the chorus and stayed acoustic, it would be quite good. Or decent at least.

BMS is quite lovely. She always has great bonus tracks. The chant chorus reminds me of 'Lucky'. :wub:

I'd also like to add that if the acoustic version of Passenger with Asia was on the album it would go from a -1 to a solid 7.

 

The intro to the album version is its only saving grace. In all reality I'd give it a 2 or 3 instead of a -1. PS - Passenger and Chillin With You join My Baby as being the only songs I've rated below a 4 from Britney in any rate. :o

I actually love this album.

I am a big Britney fan, ever since 'BOMT' and since then she has brought out some cracking tunes and her first 6 albums were amazing. But things started to slip with her last album 'Femme Fatale', while it did have some great tracks, overall it just didn't quite gel with me, I'm not saying that it was a bad album or anything, it's just sub par and saved only by the singles and a few standout tracks.

 

However this one is definitely her worst album yet and can understand why it tanked as badly as it did. Although while there are some decent tracks 'Work Bitch', 'Alien' (which should have been the 2nd single), 'Perfume', 'Body Ache' & 'Passenger', the rest are simply either average or just not very good and to be honest on the whole it doesn't have that wow factor that her other albums have had and coming from what's supposed to be her most personal album yet, it's only personal to her and not anyone else which does cause a problem in that nobody else can relate to it.

 

It's not Britney's fault at all, it's the lousy production by Will I Am which really lets it down and is even more evident on 'It Should Be Easy' which he features on and just comes across as bland and cheap. Already the album sounds dated and not very interesting. I think her management really failed her on this and then there's the other problem, which was the promotion which was non existent at best, only the lead single was given any sort of hype and then when that was released, her team were more focused on her Las Vega's show, and by the time the 2nd single was released they'd basically given up and all hope for salvaging anything from this era was long gone. So it just makes me wonder at why was this released in the first place, because obviously it was rushed just to keep Britney in the charts and then was abandoned very quickly after the terrible sales. So in all what was the point of this exactly?

 

Now I really hope that she can bounce back from this disaster and come back full force with something amazing, and hopefully this won't have damaged her career too much.
