Tbf I expected better too, assuming people would flock to support a new Ke$ha song, even if it is a feature, given what's happened regarding her and Dr. Luke. Even without the inflated sales at the lower regions of the chart due to Drake and Beyonce, ~9.5k would still be just Top 60, and I would have thought Top 40 or just outside at the least. Not to say it can't take off though, as you say, airplay hasn't kicked in at all and it could be just a case of overestimating the impact of the Ke$ha scandal.
May 8, 20169 yr I do think the news coverage has helped this actually and it would've had an even slower start without that, but this is just the age of OA/OS, very little takes off without being a massive name with a solid fanbase, and/or getting instant airplay! It's definitely all about the long-term runs I think.

Surprising as I thought it would get the sales due to the amount of social media coverage - Guess it shows once again that Tweets, Snapchats and vines don't translate into sales.

May 9, 20169 yr I expected more people to support new Kesha too but I think the fact it was just a re-recording of a year old Zedd album track probably meant people weren't as excited. If Kesha released a brand new single herself I'm sure it would do better.
May 9, 20169 yr Katy B's career is over. Number 22 debut and then gone. Anyone know of any other albums that left the top 100 after a single week? I know Bars & Melody did it last year
