After 3 months of national finals, 1 month of promo events and 2 semi finals, we're finally here at the Grand Final of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. In about 12 hours we'll know where we're off to next year (unless Australia is victorious, in which case exciting!) 50% of the final score has already been decided, after the 42 national juries watched and voted on last night's dress rehearsal. But the other 50% will be decided tonight! All 42 participating countries will be able to vote up to a maximum 20 times. And with a 40 minute voting window (not a typo) there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for not voting. It's going to be a fantastic show, I think it's a contender for best ever, Petra, Måns and SVT know how to put an amazing show. Plus, the brand new voting presentation is NOT TO BE MISSED! Oh and Justin Timberlake will be there too! Enjoy it Eurohoes, and we'll get through the summer depression together </3

We'll be having Buzzvision final results from Ryan from around 2:30, so if you haven't voted yet, there's not much time left! Also for a bit of fun, why not have a go at our ESC Predicta!

Here are my wildly inaccurate predictions

I don't believe Russia can win this year. Nor do I want us to win tbh. That Sergey's press conference and his responses were the last straw for me. Dami winning would be incredible! Or Jamala, I don't care really. Or Iveta. All utterly incredible. The latter would mean Azerbaijan will take a break and hopefully return to form with their vocalists cause GURL, they been lacking LIVE talent for 3 years in a row now, although on paper and in studio form the songs were killer. If Ukraine and Australia are Top 2 it will hands down be one of the best top 2's EVER.

01 ► Australia: Dami Im - Sound Of Silence

02 ► Ukraine: Jamala - 1944

03 ► Russia: Sergey Lazarev - You Are The Only One

04 ► Armenia: Iveta Mukuchyan - LoveWave

05 ► France: Amir - J'ai cherché

06 ► Sweden: Frans - If I Were Sorry

07 ► Italy: Francesca Michielin - No Degree Of Separation

08 ► Bulgaria: Poli Genova - If Love Was A Crime

09 ► Malta: Ira Losco - Walk On Water

10 ► Serbia: Sanja Vučić ZAA - Goodbye (Shelter)

11 ► Israel: Hovi Star - Made Of Stars

12 ► Latvia: Justs - Heartbeat

13 ► Austria: ZOË - Loin d'ici

14 ► Georgia: Nika Kocharov and Young Georgian Lolitaz - Midnight Gold

15 ► Cyprus: Minus One - Alter Ego

16 ► Belgium: Laura Tesoro - What's The Pressure

17 ► The Netherlands: Douwe Bob - Slow Down

18 ► Azerbaijan: Samra - Miracle

19 ► Lithuania: Donny Montell - I've Been Waiting For This Night

20 ► Croatia: Nina Kraljić - Lighthouse

21 ► United Kingdom: Joe and Jake - You're Not Alone

22 ► Spain: Barei - Say Yay!

23 ► Czech Republic: Gabriela Gunčíková - I Stand

24 ► Hungary: Freddie - Pioneer

25 ► Poland: Michał Szpak - Color Of Your Life

26 ► Germany: Jamie-Lee - Ghost

Hype  I will be here for this in its entirety - will be a lot of fun :D

Do these sorts of threads usually get similar reply rates to BJSC final threads?

Generally it's a pretty large thread at least. So yes. Some years it's gone over 50 pages.

I wish I could see past Russia vs Sweden right now. Maybe something new will turn up during the show and that will seem laughable after the fact. A Ukrainian or Armenian win would be fantastic out of the talked up contenders.

I would imagine it's Russia vs Australia, with Sweden in the mix if people take to it the way I'd initially envisaged, and Ukraine/Armenia/France (though I still can't call the latter...) also in the top six and then a large points drop down to 7th place. Presumably 7th down to about 20th will be quite close points-wise as there are a lot of songs that deserve to do well this year. I didn't bet on it as it was worth hardly anything but I don't see how Germany won't finish last again.

Out of the Rus/Aus pairing I'm rooting for Dami...it's modern, it's instant, she sings the HELL out of it and she seems lovely and also modest - definitely not expecting to win it like Russia. It would be interesting to see which country the show would be held next year...Germany perhaps? Sergey would be a far more highly regarded winner than Dima Bilan was for Russia but despite the incredible performance the song is so old hat and musically nothing particularly special or interesting.

I'm going to a Eurovision party tonight, and there'll be just over 20 of us so we're doing a sweepstake (£5 each) which should be fun *draws Poland*

Continue your day everyone!

I think that's the voting order they've done in both rehearsals so far so I don't think it's be done for tension keeping purposes, I imagine they're banking on the televoting results to deliver that.
Tonight we're going to watch it, out of songs I listened to I'm rooting for Australia, Bulgaria and Russia. Also Israel were very good. Dami to win it though, as a package she is by far above everything else.
I'll be at the Tele2 arena tonight for this. Should be exciting and I'm really looking forward to the performances. If Sanna sings Undo imma have to be medevaced outta there. I'm here for an Australian victory. When you adjust for the home crowd she had the biggest support in the arena last night.
Verka presenting the Ukranian vote tho *.* let's hope he wears a ridiculous outfit again.

That is indeed what happens. Getting the points from Ukraine last night was hilarious as they couldn't hear for ages so you just had Petra being hilarious and watching Verka prepare.

Voting should go well tonight. Based on what happened last night Petra's going to be taking the piss a little.

Australian to win the EUROvision song contest please! (Cos Sweepstake...)

UK to finish in the top 25 & I don't actually know any of the entries other than Sweden (which I sincerely hope doesn't win) so I'll reserve judgement till later. Should be fun following this tonight!

Also Richard Osman doing the votes? Hell yes.

Australia would be my 2nd choice, still too repetitive for my liking but boy does she sell it.

Going to be sick with nerves come televote reveal time

If Australia do win, I will accept no other host than Lee Lin Chin.

I can't see Russia NOT winning tbh. It's one of my favourites from the contest, so I wouldn't be especially against that happening but would prefer Australia to win.

Really don't like Sweden's Ed Sheeran-lite entry this year - they usually get it so spot on. I imagine it'll do well though.

Right at the front of Tele2 - gonna be a long 6-7 hours standing but brilliant view of the screen! (and have the barrier to lean on at least!)

If Australia win I'm bouncing off the ceiling, Ukraine too would be joyous - but Russia wouldn't be *too* bad, they do have a catchy song and pretty epic staging. Looking forward to it whatevs!
