It's actually one of my favourite NOW covers in a long time!

Instead of releasing spin-offs, they should concentrate on re-releasing 2-9 on double CD and also include the songs which only appeared on the vhs versions

I rather them release the early editions of the main series on CD to be honest rather than these spin off CD's. I think they'll prove more popular and sell more!

A lot of people have suggested this but it seems they aren't taking it on board

I know. It's a shame really as they will sell well :(

I have 2-9 on vinyl but I'd still buy them if they got released on double CD

I have 8 and 9 on CD - they aren't double cds, but abridged versions of the vinyl/cassette track list. I agree though that proper versions of 2-9 on CD would be great (plus I would then have all up to Now 80 on CD).

It could be a licensing issues with the songs. Licensing has become a lot more tighter since 1984!

They even said on their Facebook page that this was the reason

Not shocking. NOW 2 has The Rolling Stones, and they are one of the acts that rarely give out the rights to their music.

So does NOW 29. We could have had "I Just Called To Say I Love You" on NOW 4 or Hits 1 but we didn't because Stevie Wonder doesn't like his songs appearing on compilations

Just downloaded Now 2001 and Now 1996. When I come in to more money I will get 1999, 2002 and 2004 giving me all from 96-04. Not much point getting anything 2005+ since the volumes were quite complete by that point.

I got Now 2001 as well earlier today, weird edit of Thank You on there, it shoehorns the first verse in again as a second chorus, making it sound more like Stan...weird!

The only others I want now are 1994, 1995 and 1997.

I have a spare original Now 1995 on CD (actually from 1995!). If you want me to post it to you for free, let me know!

Oh thanks Matt, that's very kind of you! No worries though as I've got that CD myself somewhere too, the download versions are all different tracklists.

That Thank You edit is actually bothering me. I mean, why? At least the full version of Take Me Home has been included no that dodgy edit on Now 50.

Speaking of Dido, this could really have done with Here With Me.

Now That's What I Call a Dodgy Edit! That version of "Thank You" is on NOW Movies as well.

Here is the track listing for NOW 53 (US)

1. Mark Ronson w/ Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk

2. Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin'

3. Maroon 5 - Animals

4. Ed Sheeran - Don't

5. Tove Lo - Habits (Stay High)

6. Ariana Grande w/ The Weeknd - Love Me Harder

7. SAM SMITH - I'm Not The Only One

8. One Direction - Steal My Girl

9. Selena Gomez- The Heart Wants What It Wants

10. Jason Derulo - Trumpets

11. Iggy Azalea w/ MØ- Beg For It

12. Usher w/ Juicy J - I Don't Mind

13. Charli XCX - Boom Clap

14. Mr. Probz - Waves

15. Calvin Harris w/ John Newman - Blame

16. Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars

NOW introducing What's Next!

17. WALK THE MOON - Shut Up And Dance

18. Fancy Reagan - Knock Me Out

19. Zara Larsson Official - Uncover

20. Danny Mercer - Who Are You Loving Now?

21. Jack and Eliza - Hold The Line

No Taylor Swift, which probably means NOW 90 will be swiftless! Not unless they pull out all the stops, 'cos the latest Grammy Nominees album has "Shake It Off" on it (along with Drunk In Love! Gotta get that album).

I also have a feeling that "Uptown Funk" will be the "Blurred Lines" of 2015 for NOW and be featured on many Spin-Offs as possible.

I don't understand why Taylor Swift and Beyoncé allow their songs to appear on other compilations but not the NOW compilations

The Grammy Nominees album probably has a enormous budget thanks to sponsor deals and the fact that all record labels are part owners of the compilation series. The NOW series probably has a smaller budget and trying to come to agreements with artists like Beyonce and Taylor Swift can be a little harder.

I hope Taylor Swift appears on The Brit Awards 2015 album though :D

Good for Zara Larsson making it onto an American Now! And WOO for Walk The Moon :D

I would have expected ILOVEMAKONNEN to be on there rather than Usher, he seems fairly recent compared to the rest of the album (bar "Uptown Funk", obviously)

Banking on "Take Me To Church" going on NOW 54 US, though.
