Posted May 26, 20169 yr A thread looking at songs which have seen a significant uplift in sales/chart position after they were featured on TV, either within an advert, a performance (either by the original artist or someone covering it), or played in the background as part of a performance. Obvious ones I can think of is Adele's "Make You Feel My Love" peaking at #4 after a performance of it on X Factor in 2010, and Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" peaking at also #4 after a performance of it on Britain's Got Talent in April 2011. Any other examples you can think of, in terms of significant uplifts?
