I'm loving the new single from Clean Bandit with Louisa, its very catchy after a few listens, its a great stepping stone for her, Clean Bandit practically launched Jess Glynne

What went wrong with Tich?

Her singles flopped so her album was scrapped and she was dropped as a singer, however she signed a publishing deal as a songwriter, so songs like Secret Love Song that she wrote were sold.

Where did these Bastille/Naughty Boy single rumours come from? Can we expect them in the coming weeks?

 

The Strokes newie is strangely out next week even though it was a HR for Annie Mac last night.

IIRC he only confirmed it was happening. The release date was only speculation, I think.

Chloe Howl must hold the record for the longest time on the "New Release Schedule", I am guessing 2 years and counting ?

Yes 2 disco influenced dance singles with strings (Sigma and Clean Bandit) in them, lets bring it back to 2005! :dance:

 

I think it was already mentioned that we were having a first half of the 2000s revival (Justin Timberlake, Craig David and Sean Paul back and the gnash and Meghan Trainor tracks and these two disco influenced dance tracks with strings makes it even more so. We even have trance-like stuff (not real trance I know) from Kygo and Chris Brown and Benny Benassi. And that Lethal Bizzle track is like the SLK - Hype Hype track - grime with humour. And that recent Sigala and Imani track was very clubland c.2003/early 2004 indeed, especially Imani's voice in it and the Galantis track has those eurodance pitched vocals that were so popular around that time too. Oh and the 99 Souls track did bear some similarities to late 2004 songs 'Out Of Touch' or 'The Weekend'.

I suppose there are lots of Sound Of nominees that don't become huge chart successes.

 

As for Tich, her legacy will be one of the greatest logos ever in music with that bug in it. Better than the Oasis or Blur logos. In tribute I have posted it below:
