May 30, 20169 yr Author These are Britney's main singles not to score any points across the 28 of you who voted. uV2uebhnqOw #X Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know #X Criminal #X Anticipating #X Pretty Girls (Ft Iggy Azalea) #X I Love Rock And Roll #X Ooh La La
May 30, 20169 yr Can't say I'm that surprised about any of those missing out really. My favourite of them is 'Anticipating' but it's definitely not one of her best 😁
May 30, 20169 yr They're her weakest singles for sure, so it's no surprise. I do love DLMBTLTK though
May 30, 20169 yr Author #33 Someday (I Will Understand) // Score: 2 (Jonjo: 2) kBtBfGxNqpY #31 I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman // Score: 3 (Atonement: 3) IlV7RhT6zHs #31 Scream & Shout // Score: 3 (Rob Spears: 3) kYtGl1dX5qI Here we have the Britney & Kevin: Chaotic ballad 'Someday (I Will Understand)', remembered fondly by Jonjo, as well as Crossroads single 'I'm Not a Girl, Not yet a Woman', which is nice but clearly people remember Brit's other ballads more fondly. In this section there's also 'Scream & Shout' which is not technically Britney's single, and that might be why it didn't pick up many votes ( or it could just be because not many people like it). She's prominent enough in the song for me to accept this one here, whereas I wouldn't really count the S&M remix as a Britney single. Scream & Shout was a big hit around the world, and did particularly well in the UK, where it's now one of Brit's highest selling singles.
May 30, 20169 yr Author They're her weakest singles for sure, so it's no surprise. I do love DLMBTLTK though  Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, is by far, my favourite of everything that's left so far, it just wouldn't come close enough to my top 10 to get points.
May 30, 20169 yr Someday  I really don't care for 'S&S', I much prefer 'Big Fat Bass' out of the two.
May 30, 20169 yr No HUGE losses so far. I'm disappointed 'Someday (I Will Understand)' didn't get more appreciation, but I understand why as 10 was a ridiculously tough countdown to do for Brit (plus, the fact I expected it's placing as it's under appreciated in general!)
May 30, 20169 yr I kinda considered placing Criminal in my top 10, but I don't love it as much now as I once did. Scream & Shout would've been 9th or 10th for me, but I just went for lead credits.
May 31, 20169 yr Author #29 From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart // Score: 4 (Nick F1: 4) fHPnGqXXUmI #29 Radar // Score: 4 (Atonement: 4) PctD-8y0FRg #28 Outrageous // Score: 5 (Atonement: 5) sWBKCzzNEeo #27 Perfume// Score: 6 (Kuki Sanban: 5) _rxgp7TJhUE #26 Do Somethin' // Score: 14 (mr_pmt: 7) Vunxecrm6CI In the next batch we have the US single 'From The Bottom of my Broken Heart', which, for clear reasons isn't remembered as much of a single on Buzzjack. Either way, we have the far superior 'Born To Make You Happy' smash instead, which is still to come. We also have 'Radar', one of the oddest releases of Britney's singles, featured on two of her albums. And then we have somewhat forgotten amongst so many classics, 'Outrageous', as well, as my guilty pleasure - 'Perfume' and then bringing the scores up somewhat, 'Do Somethin'', a fun track, but hardly as exciting as most of the songs still come.
May 31, 20169 yr It's a shame that they couldn't pull together an official video for 'Outrageous' with the footage they shot. I'm only really here for 'Perfume' & 'Do Somethin', it's just a testament to how great her discography is that these are 27 & 26! I never got into 'FTBOMBH', I'm glad she didn't release it over here.. I don't think it would have got the same reaction as 'BTMYH'. 'Radar' was good at the time but by the time they released it, I was so over it and it grates on me now.
June 1, 20169 yr Oh no at 'Criminal' not getting any points </3 Admittedly it hasn't aged all that well for me but at the time I really liked it. 'I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman' also a big loss.
June 1, 20169 yr Author #25 My Prerogative // Score: 15 (Atonement: 8) dIOH8Trfas4 #24 Me Against the Music Ft. Madonna // Score: 16 (AaronTM: 6) clwLKJ294u4 #23 3 // Score: 17 (HarryEzra: 10) oTs6oQx1WJY #22 Boys // Score: 19 (Atonement: 10) s25OMP4Ww6Y #21 I Wanna Go // Score: 21 (Rob Spears: 6) T-sxSd1uwoU We're getting to more notably popular and iconic songs now. Me Against the Music is a classic, and still sounds fantastic today, a bit of a crime it didn't make the top 20 in my opinion. 3 was one of Brit's US #1s, a bit of a guilty pleasure for me a not among her best. Boys is another well known Brit classic and I Wanna Go is an anthem. I don't really get My Prerogative, but it's a decent enough cover, her voice suits it.
June 1, 20169 yr MATM is by far her most underrated single. I adore it! That guitar  I love all of them though. 😩
June 2, 20169 yr I don't like any in that section except 'I Wanna Go'. I thought you were a fan of 'My Prerogative'? :o
June 2, 20169 yr Author #20 Hold it Against Me // Score: 24 (Nick F1: 9) -Edv8Onsrgg #19 Circus // Score: 26 (Jade: 8) lVhJ_A8XUgc Here, we have the lead single from Femme Fatale, 'Hold it Aginst Me', which I find to be a huge bop, but sadly feels overshadowed that it's more popular followup, 'Till The World Ends', which is similar in style, but with slightly better production and most people find it to be more infectious, it went on to outsell HIAM in most territories. 'Hold it Against' me does have it's merits though, it's still big, fun and catchy, it and its video were hugely hyped for ages, and some fans felt a bit underwhelmed upon its release, but for me, it's only the video that's the main disappointment. 'Circus', the followup to the huge smash Womanizer, wasn't quite as big, but still a big enough hit for Brit. I am in the minority of preferring it to Womanizer (I know Jonjo and Jade are, too), as I love the kind of military style beat on the chorus, I find it really unique and interesting.
June 2, 20169 yr Can we just take a minute to really appreciate the music video for HIAM? It is so underrated. Her dancing may not have been up to par with where she is now, but they really went above and beyond to make sure that video still SLAYED lives. It's in my top 5 videos of all time. The paint scene and the fight scene  Circus is such a simple song, but it's so polarizing as well. Describing the production as military style beat, is one of the best ways I've heard it described. That chorus becomes stronger with each passing day. ALSO, RIP to Britney's back up dancer and former choreographer, Andre Fuentes. He has worked with her since 1998. He also was the dancer and choreographer we see on For The Record. He did the choreography for the 'Womanizer' and 'Circus' videos.
