June 13, 20169 yr I guess the sales of Sheeran's album have to drop eventually, bit like Sam Smith's album
June 13, 20169 yr I know there's streaming data missing but they're the best mids I've seen for ages :D Fingers crossed Drake will actually be knocked off #1, no one will be more happy than me at that! Fantastic also to see P!nk edging closer to the Top 10, as well as climbs for Dua Lipa, OneRepublic and Tom Odell. #3 is brilliant for the Stone Roses too, it's arguably a better song than 'All For One' which was #4 in the Monday mids if I remember correctly wasn't it? So hopefully 'Beautiful Thing' can finish Top 20 too, especially with the gigs taking place this week (the Friday one of which I'm going to!) Edited June 13, 20169 yr by Mango
June 14, 20169 yr Why is The Killers - Hot Fuss suddenly at #66 listed as a new entry when it has a ton of odd weeks on chart before now?
June 14, 20169 yr Why is The Killers - Hot Fuss suddenly at #66 listed as a new entry when it has a ton of odd weeks on chart before now? Not sure, but I could be wrong, I think it was used as a BBC ad for Glastonbury weekend.
June 14, 20169 yr Author I assume it's coming up as a new entry because it's not been in the top 100 midweek chart since they've started publishing it? Their database only goes back to 22nd October 2014, in which chart every album is shown as a new entry. Must not have appeared at all in that time!
June 14, 20169 yr Not sure, but I could be wrong, I think it was used as a BBC ad for Glastonbury weekend. Just researched and it's been re-pressed on vinyl out this week so it will be that. Why does it list it as new with no past on the charts though?

June 14, 20169 yr Author Hard to dissect these mids properly as streaming has caught up a bit, naturally meaning Drake closes the gap. I think Kungs should still be able to make it though, and Tom will hopefully stay top 40. Album chart could be less safe, hopefully BBC Breakfast gave him a nice boost today!
June 14, 20169 yr Thanks Jay... I just hope Drake does not get there, but I still think Kungs will do it. That top 3 is getting close, with stream sales to be added for Monday.

I think Kungs should still be able to make it though, and Tom will hopefully stay top 40. Album chart could be less safe, hopefully BBC Breakfast gave him a nice boost today! Tom's chances may have improved by this story that made it into yesterday's Metro / Sun :) - it's so far fetched they probably wouldn't have made this up: "Rick Astley has been targeted by mindless vandals who destroyed a lorry load of CD copies of his new album. The 80s icon’s chances of reaching Number One may have been dashed by would-be migrants, who snuck into a lorry carrying a boxes filled with fresh editions of his LP, called 50. The vehicle was coming through Calais from a German pressing plant, according to The Sun, and the stowaways decided to entertain themselves by trashing its cargo".
June 14, 20169 yr come on Kungs and come on Tom Odell on both fronts, hope he maintains the #1 albums and gets top 40 with Magnetised!!!!!!!!!!
June 14, 20169 yr The vehicle was coming through Calais from a German pressing plant, according to The Sun, and the stowaways decided to entertain themselves by trashing its cargo". Had to be Rick Astley's music
June 14, 20169 yr Here's the prediction for the singles (based on sales at this stage last week and week-on-week change) 01 Kungs vs. Cookin' on 3 Burners “This Girl” +10% 62898 02 Drake ft. Wizkid & Kyla “One Dance” −19% 59070 Drake usually rallies a little but I'm calling it for Kungs !
June 14, 20169 yr ^yay! hope you're right with sales being so close it's a pity all will depend on thursday streaming which will be estimated instead of the real thing
June 14, 20169 yr I'll take Rick Astley at #2, especially as he won't add on a lot in streaming, so for a chance for him to be a comfortable #1 he'd have to be far further ahead of Tom. It's a shame his popularity doesn't really extend further than the Rick Roll meme. Edited June 14, 20169 yr by Hassaan
June 14, 20169 yr Drake usually rallies a little but I'm calling it for Kungs ! How many weeks at #1 for Kungs you reckon.. 8, 9, 10  That would be so funny, with just a handful of acts reaching the top spot.
