After the misery and joys of conceding and scoring in the last minutes of the game against Russia & Wales, England play their final group game against Slovakia.

A win will guarantee going through as group winners. A draw will also guarantee qualification.

Predictions?

Vardy & Sturridge surely to start.

Will be a great game and characteristically I'll refrain from predicting it. Hope we can grab a win though.
Am I right in saying that the Winner of Group B (England?) will face the third place team in Group D (Czech Republic?)
If we win the group we could play the 3rd place team in Groups A, C or D depending on the best placed ones. Plus I have a sneaky feeling Turkey could pull out a win against the Czechs meaning they in fact finish 3rd in that group.

Should be a comfortable win if we combine our first half performance against Russia and our second half performance against Wales. Of course with England it's never that simple... :drama:

Vardy and Sturridge to start please.

Lallana is such a gifted footballer. I just wish his finishing was a bit better.

As a Liverpool fan I'm used to it :D

Dreadful, don't listen to the hype that we dominated the game. We did, but we had absolutely nothing. We could be playing until tomorrow and we wouldn't score.
Can't believe we took 5 strikers to the tournament and have only scored 3 goals.

I was bringing up parallels to 2010 Group C (English-speaking nation that isn't England tops the group, we play one of the two 'Slovs' in our last match and draw it, putting ourselves in second). Would have been stronger if we were to play runner-up of Group C which could have been Germany, I hadn't memorised the matchups so thought that was it. Group F is decent but it could end up being Portgual if both they and Iceland win.

We were actually fairly good tonight - and I say that against my sweepstake team of Slovakia (who I'm incredibly glad are still in with a chance) but no converting.

We controlled the game from start to finish and Slovakia played for the draw, but we only had one/two clear cut chances for all the domination. We weren't patient enough when going through the middle (I don't think the crowd helped) and we had zero width down our left hand side. Shame as he would have got slaughtered, but the game needed Sterling.

Completely wasteful in converting chances. A titanic defensive resolve from Slovakia though.
Absolute crap from start to finish. It was very reminiscent of United last season at times

lol

Typical England, they had a golden route to the semi finals potentially but they have well and truly f***ed that up now! If they manage to get past the Round Of 16 then France will be waiting in the quarter final to knock them out.

Wales defeat to England has no effect whatsoever on the final positions in the group and I think they have a chance of beating Czech Republic or Albania.
