After creating this post, a thought came to me... Has there been any non-English songs to make an impact on the UK charts as a result of the Eurovision Song Contest since its inauguration? :o

Verka Serduchka's 'Dancing Lasha Tumbai' has some English lyrics but is mostly in foreign languages (a mixture of German, Ukrainian and Russian). I think all the other top 40 hits from Eurovision, at least recently, were sung in English.

Most of Jimin's "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" is in Korean, as is "That That" by Suga ft. PSY. Some of the others do have Korean lyrics but are sung mostly in English at a glance

Nena - 99 Luftballons

Not sure why you missed this one off your master list.

Vanessa Paradis - Joe Le Taxi (#3 in 1988)

I've added Plastic Bertrand, thanks for this.

99 Luftballons did not make a UK chart appearance, only the English version did of 99 Red Balloons.

Oops, I thought I had already put that one down, it's definitely in the master list now! ^_^

Rammstein had the following hits, all in German:

Ich Will - #30, 2002

Feuer Frei - #35, 2002

Mein Teil - #61, 2004

Amerika - # 38, 2004

Keine Lust - #35, 2005

Benzin - #58, 2005

Gegen Mann - #59, 2006

As for some Eurovision ones, there's these:

Domenico Modugno - Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu (Volare) - #10, 1958 (incredibly famous song...even though it didn't win)

Gigliola Cinquetti - Non Ho L'Eta Per Amarti - #17, 1974

Jacqueline Boyer - Tom Pillibi - #33, 1960

Severine - Un Banc Un Arbre Un Rue - #9, 1971

Marie Myriam - L'Oiseau Et L'Enfant - #42, 1977

Some of the others were translated into English for the UK release, i.e. Nicole's A Little Peace, Let It Swing by Bobbysocks and more.

Thanks gooddelta,

I've added these to the front page, but only the highest charting track from Rammstein.

Christine and The Queens - Tilted - currently charting, it contains French parts.
Kyu Sakamoto - Sukiyaki.

Reached #6 in 1963.

Fun fact - the song is actually called "Ue wo Muite Arukō" in Japan, however when it was being released in English speaking countries they thought that it was too clunky, so they gave it a name that was familiar to their audience whilst still sounding vaguely Oriental, hence why the song is named after a Japanese stew despite its lyrics having nothing to do with it. It would be like "Hold On, We're Going Home" by Drake being renamed "Hamburgers" in Japan because the title was too clunky, but Hamburgers sounds vaguely American.

Actually, since Drake is Canadian it would have been more appropriate to call it 'Maple Syrup' but otherwise I like the analogy.

I think I will have a go at the languages from the first post.

Sorry to post twice in a row, but I've done the easy bit by posting the information I already know (or think I do, at least) without resorting to research.
