Think I'll emigrate if Corbyn becomes PM, before the country goes down the pan. Labour want to spend spend spend money that the country hasn't got. Corbyn intends to give several money-making trees a shake for what he plans.

Whereas the Tories are promising increases in spending and tax cuts. Please explain how that works economically.

I think the plan is for it to work *electorally*... :teresa:

I really don't understand how somebody who is dependent on state benefit can be so pro Tory.

The only good thing about Labour is that they'll get rid of the WCA but haven't said exactly what they'll replace it with. The manifesto says "in house" so that means just the DWP and no more Atos or Maximus assessments and lies.

All their other policies involve spending too much from the magic money tree.

Did you say the same about Michael Foot?

Yes I liked Foot. He was okay. Never PM material though. Loved his donkey-jacket. :D

Where will you go?

PHILIPPINES. Have right of settlement there as as I'm married to one of their citizens. Have enough savings that I inherited from my mum and daughter to live until 66 when I get my old age pension. Before anyone asks, yes you do get it if you live abroad, so long as you still have a UK bank account to have it paid into. If my ESA is stopped anytime in these next 6 years I may have to rely on those savings anyway. At a stretch I have enough to pay food and bills for a few years. Nita pays the mortgage.

Could always ride a buffalo to plough the rice field too in these remaining 6 years before my retirement. :)

I admit that it doesn't but let's see what they costing says in their manifesto shall we.

Not even worth the effort of pointing out the hypocrisy anymore...

I know. He's completely blind and spoilt. So many people don't have the luxury of just effing off because of marriage etc

I don't really want to go there as it's too hot for me. Anyway Labour may be okay. At least this current assessment of my benefits would be the last in it's present form and hopefully they'd be more lenient then.

Has anyone read the conspiracy theories that the Establishment will never let Corbyn become PM even if Labour won? He'd have an "accident" or sudden heart attack". :o

Omfg he called Corbyn unfit because he's scruffy, but calls Bojo the best because he's scruffy?! Wtf??

I don't expect Labour to win but if they actually did it wouldn't surprise me if something like this happened. The powers that be don't want somebody like Corbyn anyway near the top.

Everything from the voting system to the state media BBTory to the press are rigged against Labour and favour the neoliberal Tories.

Mind you they said something would happen to Trump even before he was sworn in and and it hasn't so far.

So how are their promises any different from Labour's?

Funny how shaking the money tree is fine when the tories decide to turn the cash on because it's in their interests but when it's labour it's scrutinised to the hilt.

If you emigrate then see ya :P

The prospect of Chris emigrating might have just been the thing to secure my vote for Labour.

AS if you were going to vote any other way...

IMO the ultimate foot-shoot is Corbyn's prevarication over BRexit - it surely *has* to be costing the party votes.

They still have the Net in the Philippines. :D
