While I've got a few minutes, delighted to see Major Lazer getting #1 on iTunes, looks set in stone to be #1 next week, bit frightening though, got potential to stay there for 10 weeks plus and try to beat Bryan Adams in the process, but that's another 4 months, (Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov) surely something big will drop along the way, otherwise we have a total of 8/ 9 #1s of 2016 -_-

With MO a featured artist in Cold Water the irony is that just like 22 years ago it's almost certain a Danish woman will be knocking something off the top after 15 weeks!

1. Major Lazer - Cold Water (feat. Justin Bieber & MØ) - 1.0000

2. Jonas Blue - Perfect Strangers (feat. JP Cooper) - 0.5791

At this rate he'll get the number 1 on sales alone. Really impressive lead.

New Releases

1268. Pitbull - Greenlight (feat. Flo Rida & LunchMoney Lewis)

omg what a FLOPPP

That House Work song sounds like its straight from 2007, sounds like Fedde Le Grand's records from that time.

14. Dancing On my Own (Tiesto Remix) - Calum Scott

Tiesto rescuing a dull piano based song again after All Of Me :) Wish he would have made it a trance record though like his early stuff.

And speaking of Tiesto go on Summer Nights :) Love the strings in it any dance song with strings in it does it for me.

Where is the original version (by Calum Scott)?

most important, One Dance down to 0.33 :)

Any reason why Ludovico Einaudi is at #120 with "Berlin"? Has it been used in something?

Also, is "Ex's and Oh's" by Elle King getting a new promotional push? It's currently at #73.

Drake finally set to to lose the number 1, i hope it happens.

I would really like to see Cher Llyod manage to make the top 100 officially, if she keeps climbing she may just manage it.

I just wish it was a decent song that'd replace him :')

 71. Oasis - D'You Know What I Mean? (NG's 2016 Rethink)

A new mix to promote the "Be Here Now" Reissue due in October.

Once this Reissue is out of way hopefully they will get back together for some new material...

I kind of miss the Major Lazer who made songs like this...

Looking at the iTunes chart, it looks like (unless a huge name is involved) a track basically has to be reduced to 59p to take off these days - half of the top 20 are currently at 59p. Whilst it's good that they're (mostly) giving boosts to new tracks, it's looking like reducing the standard price would be a good idea to convince people to buy more music. Apple might never actually go through with this, but from the artist's point of view, considering how little revenue they apparently get from streaming, I'd imagine most would be happy with this.

Not quite. He needs to drop from #1 on Spotify and iTunes need to put the song back to 99p so it would drop on there and then he'd be certain that this week is his last

How is an initial demand surge for a newly released single any indication whatsoever of it remaining at number 1 for 10 weeks?

Besides by selling double Jonas Blue it is only really selling about 8-9K. Massive by today's standards but unless supported by strong streaming will easily become quite vulnerable when that initial surge dies down.
