Posted August 8, 20168 yr All year I've been waiting for a Jamaican artist (who isn't Sean Paul) to take advantage of dancehall's influence on pop music and create a huge sounding crossover hit. This could be it! Stylo G has charted before of course, but he has teamed up with producer Jacob Plant to create this anthem called 'Bike Engine'. Here is the extended mix: zEp_I7O4Mn0 Mixing bass, reggae and dancehall together, 'Bike Engine' sounds catchy and accessible enough to crossover to the mainstream. Will undoubtedly be huge in the upcoming Notting Hill carnival and in clubs up and down the country... I certainly challenge anybody not to dance to this!! It is on Spotify and iTunes now. Love this.

August 19, 20168 yr This isn't really R&B and urban...it should be on the dance forum I think as it is technically latin house I think. :) Anyway I really like it

Sounds more like a bass-reggae fusion to me. Stylo G is a dancehall artist so I think this belongs in the R&B forum, especially as all his previous songs are in here too.
August 23, 20168 yr Is this not a nailed on smash for anyone else? Sounds like a HUGE hit for around October/November and I'd be massively surprised if this didn't do very well.

I agree mate, that's why I created the topic. Doesn't sound quite like anything else in the charts right now which could really help it. Out of the iTunes Top 1000 at the moment though which doesn't seem good.
