I suppose you have to ask yourself what non-Britney fans are going to like or think about the sort of songs other AFs are going to nominate, as much as you have to consider what the best album track the Britney AF collectively enjoy.

I think the two tracks contrast each other pretty nicely. One is classic pop Britney, the other is a vibey mid tempo. I personally think they are the two best choices after doing rates for all her albums, but, I'm game for some more nominations!

There are two clear frontrunners but yes I agree with Liam. That's kinda why I think BOM is the oblivious choice, pop fans KNOW that song, meaning it's instantly recognisable, which will help it in the finals.

BOM would go down a storm with the Kylie forum :kink:

But I still vote Amnesia

Isn't the point for it to be lesser known songs though? I'm just tired of BOM, it's always the choice for things like this and she has so many tracks that are just as phenomenal, if not more so.

TBH I've never even really been a fan of BOM anyway. Though, I can't deny that the production is amazing.

She has so many amazing songs in her discography that deserve their chance too.

Doesn't have to be lesser known songs! I expect most people will know the Girls Aloud, Lady Gaga, Katy, etc entries that are sent anyway :heehee:

I think they offer the best of the two sides of Britney's music too and, from what I've heard of her albums, I think they're still the best choices to be contenders in the contest. It's just a case of which will people immediately jump to or jump out on a list of other great pop songs. Like Joe said, 'Breathe On Me' is already known by a lot of pop fans whereas people may see 'Amnesia', not know it, and move onto something they do know, but then, like you said, 'Amnesia' is classic Britney and I think if anyone was to listen to it, it would be likely to instantly have them hooked. Plus this contest is a good opportunity to get to know songs people may not be aware of.

Wait, did Kylie turn this down as well as 'Toxic'?!?! :o

I don't think so. It's just so quintessentially Kylie, especially in the chorus.

For me this isn't about 'something less known' or 'introducing something new to people' it's a competition, and I think we need to bring out A game and go with the most obvious choice. Breathe on Me is NOT my favourite Britney album track, I just see it as something that has the most chance of winning.

If a future theme was 'best of the best' obvious choices would be Toxic and Baby, despite neither of them even being in my top 5 favourites.

That's my take anyway.

It's taken me up to now to realise how Kylie-esque it is! Body Language needed some 'Breathe On Me' on it tbh.

I was under the impression it was similar to BJSC so that's why I thought we wanted lesser known songs.

I do think in that case BOM is a great choice. I'm game for either of the two as I think they would both do extremely well if the voters actually do their job properly.

I took it literally and that we're trying to determine the ultimate missed single opportunity of her career.

Maybe if the theme had been "hidden gems of the discography" it'd be more open ended.

Perfect Lover!

But I agree about 'Amnesia' and 'Breathe on Me' too.

I'm going to set up a poll within the hour. Lmao.

I feel that way about Amnesia, too!

Fernando Garibay had just hit starting to produce stuff for Gaga, the sound was perfect for 2009/10 & was such a missed opportunity.

The fact that it was relegated to bonus track when it had s i n g l e written all over it is so unjust :(

At least BOM was on every album

Yes it's important that the song sticks to the theme of 'Should've been a single' but like Joe said, it's also a competition so you want to send a song that has the best chance of winning. For example 'Let Me' by Rihanna was a big why wasn't this a single moment from her first album but I can't imagine that would set the final scoreboard alight (unless everyone else chose ballads!)

This. It should have been the lead single off 'Circus', IMO. While 'Toxic' and 'Everytime' we're both ahead of 'Breathe On Me'. Just my opinion.

AMNESIA.
