True but by 2013 the GP got tired of GaGa's antics and there was a backlash against her. Applause was also too theatrical to be massive. It seemed like a single only her fanbase would eat up. Whereas PI comes at a time where she's redeemed herself through being out of the public eye musically for 3 years - plus PI itself is a lot more instant and universal than Applause.

I'm enjoying the new Kings of Leon track. I hope they can mange top 40 with it, it'd be nice to see an act like them still do well enough.

Maybe they'll give her TOTD tomorrow, she had the breakfast show so perhaps they'll stretch out her promo over th 2 days for maximum impakttt.
