October 5, 20168 yr i thought w 2 AQs are assigned a semi each to vote in, non ? i don't rly have extenuating circumstances i'm just on holiday and would rather only have to spend time listening to 30 songs instead of 70 !! but it's v #firstworldproblems so i don't wanna be demanding
October 5, 20168 yr That has happened sometimes but for a few years now the AQs have always voted in both semis (apart from the time FARC were an AQ and didn't vote in either of them lol ~) - I'd be happy to just make an exception and give you and Jake one semi each this time considering your limited Internet access but I'd need the mods to approve that. October 5, 20168 yr Well, seeing as the one of the few people that it actually matters is happy with any arrangements made is online; lets make some! The rules have been very carefully written, deliberately so, to instil areas of flexibility. One such area is this one. There is no rule that both AQ's must vote in both Semi-Finals. It's a long established convention that they do so as part of the trade off for bypassing the semi's and because at the root of it all we are all about discovering new music. The reason there's no rule is because on occasion it's not practical to do that and it then allows us to be a little flexible. The two options we have are 1) Nobody Auto-qualfies (it is optional after-all) and everyone votes where they've been assigned. Usual penalties for non-voting apply 2) Each AQ has 1 semi final to vote in and the 15% deduction for not voting in the other semi final is waived provided you vote. As option one involves losing your AQ status, Chris the decision is yours alone (consult your twin if you wish, idc, just as long as you let us know from your account which option to take). I very much doubt that option 1 will be taken but I prefer to give everyone the full range of options available to them. I'm a whole picture kind of person.
