This is really taking off on US radio now. They probably pushed the John Wayne video out a bit too early.

A hit single!!! Her first since Applause.

That's all she needed to launch with momentum for next album.

This single literally took Gaga's team multiple attempts before the radio went on board with this. :drama:

The song received the second (very close to first) biggest radio update in the US today. Radio are ON BOARD this is so deserved and it's almost back to being top 5 on iTunes there

A year ago, Lady Gaga released the (then) promotional single 'Million Reasons' as a digital download across the globe. The song went on to garner a big following and hung around for a while on US iTunes in particular. Following a few high-key performances and repeated climbs to #1 on iTunes, the song was eventually confirmed as the album's second single later in the year. But it's been a year since we first heard Gaga's now defining ballad, so how has it aged over the past 12 months for you?

Do you have a million reasons to love or hate the song?

I thought the song was nice, if a little faceless and repetitive at first :kink: But I got swept up in the MAKE MILLION SALES A SINGLE!!1 frenzy (especially over A-Yo :')) and over time it's cemented itself as a real gem in Gaga's back catalogue.

It is Gaga at her most exposed, ever and for that I commend it being a single, and a successful one. Perfectly representing the innocence of Joanne the woman and album, it's a lovely piece to accompany such a personal project. I love it whenever I hear it now and I think it'll always be a special release for her because it was when she well and truly discarded all gimmicks and just SANG.

This was such an emotional moment from Joanne I adore it way better than PI for me (although that was great too)
I really loved this at the time and I still do now, definitely one of her best and I think it will endure from here on in also.
Pretty much exactly what dandy* said. Such a gorgeous song and was the immediate highlight of the era for me.

I don't tend to like Gaga's ballads but this is excellent.

Agreed. I can't name many of her other pure ballads that I really properly enjoy but her vocals on this aren't TOO try-hard. Very natural sounding and I hope her future ballads are more in this vein too. 'Joanne' song does it very well too actually!
