October 8, 20168 yr I only saw half of the show but Honey G was my favourite and I hope she stays long in the competition. It would be good if she performs Controlla by Drake and does a dab at some point
October 9, 20168 yr While i am a fan of the show i had found the show had got very stale so suprisingly i really enjoyed tonight opening live show and thought in general the acts done well and in large picked good songs.
October 9, 20168 yr Author Thoughts on this week: 01 Relley (such a sassy, confident performance! I didn't expect that, but then again I'm not entirely sure what I expected given she had like 0 airtime prior to this  But that will have saved her from the bottom 2 surely?!) 02 Saara (a brilliant arrangement of that song, started off a bit shaky and awkward but she totally hit her stride quickly and it really worked like that I thought plus I'd argue her voice is pretty much second to none of the talent - or lack thereof - this year) 03 Gifty (it wasn't as good as I expected, but I partly think that's just because it's not the sort of song that you'd perform to wow on X Factor tbh, I liked her attitude and I also loved that it was something you don't expect from her, to take a bit of a risk) 04 Honey G (I mean, it was entertaining which is more than I can say for a lot of below, as its week 1 it's not wearing off yet but I'm sure it will) ------ 05 Matt (it wasn't anything I'd stan or go mad over but I was impressed, competent is the word I'd use. He's by far the most talented boy) 06 Samantha (on second listen not as bad as I thought, but there are definite issues with her control/pitch etc, I think she might not be ready and she could be the Tamera of this year? She has such a voice and so much potential) ------ 07 Freddy (eh it wasn't too bad but pretty boring for sure, he's just not my sort of singer and the song is one of those I hate people covering because the Fugees version is so so good) 08 5 After Midnight (basically just Aldi JLS, their vocals are really off at times though, their dancing can't save them every time) 09 Ryan (basically everything wrong with music in 2016, a weak voiced boy who can barely carry a tune coasting on the fact he looks like a popstar, he'd have been much better in a boyband) 10 Emily (I know this sounds silly but it wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't so overrated, but I just do not hear what is supposed to be good about her? Suffice to say, her vocals on Closer were worse than the original's VMA performance :/ I hated her attitude about Toxic this week too, and that's not me being biased towards the song or Britney, it's probably more me being biased against Emily  But it's just that there wasn't really a need to be so stuck up about the song just because she's not good enough to sing it... Plus points for finally not hiding behind the guitar but they just exposed her "voice" - or lack of....) 11 Brattavio (everything wrong with TV/society/music in 2016) Relley surely saved herself with that, but idk if she was still a bit early to stand out and maybe she could slip into the bottom 2, Saara has that danger too. I really hope neither of those are there, I assume Brattavio will be but you never can trust Britain. I can see an upset of one of Relley/Saara going against Brattavio in one of the dreaded deadlock sing offs. The only other person I can see joining Brattavio is perhaps Freddy but I don't think he'd be so susceptible to the "shock" elimination.
October 9, 20168 yr Performance rate: 1. Relley C - 8.0/10.0 (I'm glad she pulled a good performance out the bag, not perfect but a very strong vocal) 2. Matt Terry - 7.5/10.0 (Sung very well but still unsure if perfect song for him) 3. Honey G - 7.0/10.0 (So wrong it felt so right, especially compared to some of the other boring performances) 4. Freddy Parker - 6.0/10.0 (Don't think this was as bad as people are making out; the piano part was great and he has a lovely tone. Did go a bit downhill but better than most) 5. Saara Alto - 5.0/10.0 (So Eurovision and so cheesy. She sung well but couldn't be less my thing and I find her personality insufferable) 6. Gifty Louise - 4.5/10.0 (Sorry, I think she's very poor vocally and not getting fuss; all one note and she didn't cope well with upbeat song) 7. Samantha Lavery - 4.0/10.0 (Shouting the song doesn't make you good love. No tone at all) 8. 5AM - 3.5/10.0 (Had been reasonably impressed up until now but their vocals, especially at beginning were terrible) 9. Emily Middlemass - 2.5/10.0 (What the hell was this? So wrong and sounded like a school talentshow performer) 10. Ryan Lawrie - 1.0/10.0 (So weak and non-descript it's almost offensive) 11. Bratavio - 0.0/10.0 (No comment. Go home) Overall it was a terrible live show with hardly anyone sounding decent at all. I guess that's what happens when you get rid of the only good people in the rounds previously. Honestly none of them seem deserving of winning X Factor at all.
October 9, 20168 yr Relley and Saara are both in the top 3 (with Matt) on many of the online polls so I hope they can both avoid the bottom three!
October 9, 20168 yr 1. Matt Terry - I orginall had Relley at first ages ago but thinking back and I feel as if Matt's the one that has stuck with me the most. His voice was incredible and he pulled that song off so well. He didnt overdo the high notes either was flawless in my eyes  2. Relley C - Such a good song choice for her The songs tone and style worked really well with her voice. 3. Honey G - I loved this performance was so fun and so right for her I will probs get tired of her but for now *.* 4. Saara Alto - Was a beaitufl arrangment nothing like the original and her voice was really good :o 5. Gifty Louise - Some of it was a mess but It was very good :o 6. Ryan Lawrie - Wasnt amazing but it was pretty good for his type of voice. I want something different from him though, 7. 5AM Midnight - Here is where it starts to go bad Doesnt sound like them at all :o 8. Samatha Lavery - Was shouty as hell shame :( 9. Emily Middlemass - Doesnt sound like a song she would sing at all :( 10. Freddy Parker - WTF was that bit after the piano  11. Bratavio - Just AWFUL :puke:
October 9, 20168 yr Bottom 3 prediction: Bratavio, Freddy, Saara (I think Relley C's good performance could save her, but I'm not that sure) Flash vote save: Freddy Sing-off save: Saara Bratavio need to go, they're awful. <_< Edited October 9, 20168 yr by Jason
October 9, 20168 yr Saara is up to 536k YouTube views, nearly 400k ahead of 2nd placed Matt on 178k views. Of course a lot of these will be from international viewers, but I'm hoping it'll make the producers think she is worth keeping around seeing as she does create a lot of social media hype. Relley and Bratavio have the least YouTube views, I could see that being a realistic bottom 2. I'm still fearing Saara is going to get dragged into the fight with her early slot, gothic staging which could turn off the younger fans and the fact she is from ABROAD. I now think it is going to be 3 from 4 rather than 3 from 6 that I suggested last night. I think Ryan and Sam, while being behind the top 5 of Matt, Honey, Emily, Gifty and 5AM, will have a buffer ahead of the bottom 4. So that leaves Bratavio, Relley, Saara and Freddy - 1 of which will be safe.
October 9, 20168 yr YES!: 01. Relley C - 08.5/10 Many underestimate Relley but her performance was the best of the night for me. The song choice, the rapping, the stage prescence. Give me that diva I love! 02. Matt Terry - 08.0/10 Wasn't expecting much from Matt but the final minute of that was sublime and the minimalistic stage construction well with the rawness of his vocals. Yes! Good, but not great: 03. 5 After Midnight - 07.0/10 vocally nothing special, but their energy was enough for me to enjoy and they seem to gel well as a group on and off stage. Terrible song though. 04. Gifty Louise - 06.5/10 - As a fan of both FH and Gifty, I was most excited for this performance but it started out really flat tbf. It did however get better towards the end. TV GOLD: Honey G - 06.0/10 - No talent whatsoever lmao but I can't even deny that was TV gold, although if she stays whilst better vocalists go I will be mad. Bratavio - 05.5/10 - Yes, it was bad. So bad it was nearly good. But at least I stayed awake watching it which I can't say for the rest of them. Basic messes: Samantha Lavery - 05.0/10 - Yeah, it was good, I guess. Meh, nothing more. Saara Aalto - 03.5/10 - if there was a song I never wanted to rehear it was 'Let It Go' and I honestly don't care if she 'did it justice' after six chair, she makes me cringe so much. Freddy Parker - 02.5/10 - Painfully bad. Really I liked Freddy before but how he has made the finals seems laughable. Not enough. Emily Middlemas - 02.0/10 - Really this song? gurl bye. How boring. Ryan Lawrie 00.0/10 - Well he's there I guess which is more than I can say for Brooks Way. Still so basic, hopefully it;s a double elimination with Emily and they can leave together.
October 9, 20168 yr 4. Saara Alto - Was a beaitufl arrangment nothing like the original and her voice was really good :o Much like your spelling of beautiful.
October 9, 20168 yr Much like your spelling of beautiful. posts like this are why I'm having a turnaround for you :,) sorry for the -1
October 9, 20168 yr Much like your spelling of beautiful. Omg I didnt spot that spelling error at the time...lets just pretend its a more avant-garde interpretation of the word beautiful :kink:
October 9, 20168 yr So who are the guest performers tonight? James Arthur and? and the contestants.
