Top 6 were incredible, Ryan/5AM were solid and didn't like any of my bottom 3

Votes:

Saara 5x

Gifty 2x

Sam 2x

Honey G 1x (sure she'll be safe!)

Honey G (oh my god, it sounds like a 2005 UK #1 single *.*), Gifty and Matt were the only I really liked. Saara was technically great too but they're really selling her as this cold character with the editing over the past few weeks, it's a shame and no doubt she'll be out tomorrow or next week, the audience reaction was very muted.

Oh my god at a Vengaboys song being used on X Factor

01 Honey G ~ So entertaining it was unreal. Had to watch her performance again just now!

02 Matt Terry ~ Really strong vocalist. Great song choice with a suitably slick arrangement. Didn't overdo the falsetto!

03 Gifty Louise ~ Wasn't perfect by any means but the chorus in particular was really enjoyable. She has a real star quality about her.

04 Saara Alto ~ I absolutely hate 'Let It Go' but I enjoyed the staging and her vocals were top notch

05 5 After Midnight ~ Didn't wow me like they did at judges houses but it was decent enough. Maybe too safe.

06 Relley C ~ It was all a bit dated but she has a great voice when she doesn't overdo it.

07 Ryan Lawrie ~ Nothing special but again not bad really. Just pretty average.

08 Bratavio ~ Lmao that they're this high. Technically horrific but I couldn't help but somewhat enjoy the fun?? Plus the echo was hilarious.

09 Sam Lavery ~ Meh, liked her at judges houses but wasn't a fan of her rendition. A bit too screechy in places.

10 Emily Middlemas ~ Complete misfire! The song didn't suit her at all and it was awkward to watch the 'ooooh' bits over the production.

11 Freddy Parker ~ Started off like there was going to be some potential but what the HELL was that switching up of the song all about? Completely ruined it.

Hmm, it's hard to predict. With it being a bottom 3 rather than a bottom 2 I expect Bratavio and Freddy to be in there. Probably joined by Relley but there's an outside chance of Ryan, Saara and Sam too.

At this stage I'd go bottom 3: Bratavio, Freddy, Relley

Flash vote save: Relley

Sing-off save: Freddy

I do think Bratavio may be disposable now Honey G is taking off so well, and it'll see the show regain a bit of credibility.

Nope, Dermot just said they are having a bottom 3 announcement where app voters then flash vote to save 1. The other 2 then go into the sing-off!
The performance was ok, Kate Nash track 'Foundations' would have suited her better.
Don't be silly. 'Foundations' is pre-2010 so it's probably too dated for her. (Unless it's 80's-related, Carly Rae influencing people and making people believe it's the 80's is what I'm putting that down to tbh. :drink:)

Really? I'd imagine after that people will be trying to return their downloads to Apple.
Probably redownloading to try and forget the performance she gave!

They should have gone for Closer's more poppy, acoustic-y sister 'Starving'!!!! That didn't really work except a great last 30 seconds, but thankfully she will be safe as she has the potential to reach the final.
The last 30 secs were the worst. Omg Ryan! :(

For a first show, that was a lot better than I had thought would be possible. Sharon and Nicole are outstanding together! *.* Still not seeing the Honey G hype, but I guess that worked for her!

I think a male winner would really help the XF this year! Matt seems to be "the one". He was excellent. I think with his own material, he will excel even further!

The last 30 seconds were when we could actually hear her properly, she was fairly inaudible throughout most of the song! To be fair to her, the Spotify studio version does sound pretty good it just isn't a song that suits being performed live.
But the first minute or so is her usual, whispery voice though? Then that "note"... oh no!
Her normal whispery voice usually stands out better in the sound mix than it did tonight, maybe it's because every performance we've had from her so far has had nothing more than an acoustic background so therefore she doesn't have to fight/raise her voice against a backing track. But the final chorus was pretty good aside from the big note at the end admittedly, but at this stage I think she's more of a Diana Vickers than she is a Janet Devlin/Abi Alton - I think she could belt like Diana can with some training.
I thought that big second chorus was amazing - I loved the performance on the whole, definitely my favourite of the night
Have Brooks Way definitely gone from the show. A bunch of silly billys.

Suspended pending further police investigation I think. Not a big loss.

1 - Relley C

2 - Saara Alto

3 - Honey G

4 - Gifty Louise

5 - Freddy Parker (he actually surprised me)

6 - 5 After Midnight (disappointing!)

7 - Emily Middlemas (should've stuck with Toxic, that was so awkward when she was oohing or whatever she was doing at the instrumental bit :P)

8 - Ryan Lawrie

9 - Samantha Lavery

10 - Matt Terry (so overrated. Please don't let him win!)

11 - Bratavio
