I can't believe we have the artwork already, it doesn't seem that long ago since Now 97. This year is speeding by

Charlie Puth has a new song out tomorrow called “How Long?” so question is which of his songs will we be getting on NOW 98? I hope we get at least one of his songs. This is why they shouldn’t have snubbed “Attention” from NOW 97

A few interesting choices on here - The Climb, Ordinary People, Crank That, No Air, 5 Years Time, Kids, Better Together and Day 'n' Nite seem somewhat more inspired than the usual bunch. I've bolded the songs that appeared on the previous Now 00s compilation in 2010, I'd have preferred if they'd left all of these off and replaced them with other tracks to make a true sequel. Also, no Girls Aloud or Kylie seems a bit of an oversight.

Also, here is the tracklist for Germany's Bravo Hits 99, which is out today:

The landmark Bravo Hits 100 will be out in about February I think, will be interesting to see what they do to celebrate! The booklets for these compilations are always very good, often jam packed with stuff, but usually quite random, with some song lyrics in both English and German, artist info, third-party advertising and all sorts of other things. Maybe the booklet will have a history of the series next time.

Shame there’s no Girls Aloud, no Saturdays, no Busted, no McFly, no Blazin’ Squad, no Garage music, no Trance music: all of these were big in the 00s. If they wanted to use the same artists, they should have used other songs by them for eg. replace “It Wasn’t Me” with “Angel”, “Poker Face” with “Just Dance”, “I Gotta Feeling” with “Shut Up” or “Hey Mama”, “Viva La Vida” with “Clocks”, “Dilemma” with “My Place” or “Flap Your Wings”, “7 Days” with “Walking Away”, “American Boy” with “1980”, “Don’t Stop Movin'” with “Natural”, “Pure Shores” with “Black Coffee”, “So What” with “Funhouse”, “Oops!…I Did It Again” with “Lucky”, “About You Now” with “Freak Like Me” and “Hey Ya!” with “Roses” or “The Way You Move”

Why replace So What with Funhouse of all P!nk tracks it was not a hit

“Funhouse” went top 30 and besides, it’s something of hers that hasn’t appeared on a compilation and it’s better than having the same old same old

Edited by Hadji

That 00s spin-off is a major disappointment, so I quickly skimmed through the NOW Spin-offs from Decades-00s (2003-2010) and just picked the 00s songs from those and created the Spin-off they should've made. (made if they're just going for the same old songs from previous spin-offs route)

Disc 1:

01: S Club 7 - Don't Stop Movin'

02: Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You out of My Head

03: Room 5 feat. Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv

05: Destiny's Child - Independent Woman, Part 1

15: Coldplay - In My Place

16: Jamelia - Superstar

17: Kelis - Milkshake

18: 3 of a Kind - Babycakes

19: Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme

20: Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder On the Dancefloor

21: Tom Jones feat. Mousse T. - Sexbomb (Peppermint Disco Radio Edit)

Disc 2:

01: Nickelback - How You Remind Me

02: Kelly Osbourne & Ozzy Osbourne - Changes

03: Michael Andrews feat. Gary Jules - Mad World

19: Cheryl Cole - Fight for this Love

20: The Fray - How To Save a Life

21: Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah

Opinions on this prediction? I tried to include a few future hits as well as some oldies. The question of which Charlie Puth song to include was tricky but I think they'd go for How Long? And as for Imagine Dragons and Major Lazer I'm unsure whether they'd be included unless they include Whatever It Takes or a new Major Lazer single. Also unsure as to whether Ed will be included.

My predictions with a month and a bit to to go still-

Only song I thought should have been on here but I didn’t include was Glorious by Macklemore but his songs have never made an appearance (although he has always been with Ryan Lewis) and also real Life but that wasn’t a huge hit anyway and can see it being on a Now house or something similar in the future

Seeing as “I Fall Apart” is an official single, question is which of the two Post Malone songs will we get on NOW 98? I reckon we could either have both on NOW 98 or “Rockstar” on 98 and “I Fall apart” on 99
Do we think P!Nk & Eminem’s new single will be on this? I don’t remember Eminem being present on any of the nows I own (post 73) but would like to see him on this one definitely as it is sure to be a big hit

Eminem has only featured on a Now CD 3 times:-

1) On Now 50 along with D12 on ‘Purple Hills’

2) On Now 53 with ‘Without Me’

3) On Now 60 On Akon’s ‘Smack That’ as a featured artist

I wouldn’t get your hopes up to high on Eminem appearing unless he’s the featured artist
