It is a complete rip off, lets face it. :D

Yep. The melody, the chord progression, the verses & the chorus and even the falsetto note - everything is a rip off.

At least, in LMs case, only the chorus sound exactly like Ugly Heart.

I wonder if Little Mix can keep up 10k plus all week?

I'd say they've sold around 25k today.

I'd say they've sold around 25k today.

24,935 iTunes sales in 24 hours - bloody hell. I'd only imagine there's 200k plus streams to go with it too - that's got to be the highest daily total of the year?

Well this Little Mix track is pretty disappointing on first listen, certainly a lot weaker than their hits last year.

Also I don't hear the Ugly Heart similarities at all...

People are over-reacting with the Ugly Heart thing. Ugly Heart is a song I love very much. It was #1 in my 2014 end of year, so I know it well. There's no way they're similar enough for there to be a lawsuit.

How?

Two back to back plagiarism #1's then potentially. Interesting outfits from Little Mix last night, people complaining about their outfits.

That's a bit petty to be judging their outfits tbh.

The song sounds similar to Ugly Heart in the chorus for me but plenty of songs sound similar, I think plagiarism or the need for a lawsuit is waaay too far. It's not like Ugly Heart is some massive trendsetter as much as I love it :kink:

I weren't judging their outfits.

Just listened again to Little Mix. It doesn't sound nowhere near compared to 'Ugly Heart' to 'Say You Won't Let Go' to 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'.

I think The Script have to sue James Arthur it sounds very similar every time I hear it. I knew from first listen that it sounded way too similar. Mr Arthur obviously didn't mention any samples at all.

Yeah loads of articles commenting on their outfits during their performance last night. Which really baffles me? Like REALLY baffles me. I don't think they've ever worn anything which makes me think "omg they're sluts" or whatever.

And Mel C commenting on it after having Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri consistently wearing the types of dresses they did seems a bit hypocritical.

They don't wear that stuff other than on stage. In interviews and things they're always wearing "normal" clothes.

Edit: but hey. It's OK for Joe Jonas to go literally half naked in the DNCE video and act all erotic.

The melody of both songs' choruses are almost identical to each other though. It's no overreaction.

Not that I care if they sound the same in parts. For example, I love both Halo and Already Gone.

Absolutely love Shout Out To My Ex as I'm a major fan of my fave girls Little Mix, but I can definitely understand where people are coming from with the Ugly Heart vibes, even on the breakdown before the final chorus it sounds just like Ugly Heart's. For me it's better as its more of an anthem, far more sassy & relatable. :cheer:
