Where's This Town?

Don't you ever request anything else apart from One Direction related material. :drama:

On the #24 bus wherever that takes you :P

Phil Collins, Kings of Leon, Trolls and Shawn Mendes for albums please?

PC 3+4=??

KoL 6+6=??

Trolls 5+5+7=??

SM 7+7+7=??

:P

Looking at the figures, Little Mix won't have any trouble staying at #1 this week. But next week is much more open ended, Clean Bandit could take it. Louisa is outselling the songs around her so could climb 2 or 3 places before Friday, so long as her sales don't freefall.

If Little Mix can't nab a 4th week, then I sincerely hope Clean Bandit manage to get there. I don't think I could handle James Arthur reclaiming it.

Is it mean-spirited to hope Elvis blocks him from the #1 album?

I honestly thought that Tove Lo would've debuted top 20. :/

She's looking at a top 10 debut in the US!

No real surprise given (according to www.setlist.fm) she has performed 64 times in US and only 5 times in the UK (mostly festival appearances).

Let's not forget she cancelled dates in the UK in the Autumn of last year due to illness.

Here is an example of an Artist not putting the effort in to break the UK market! She cancelled the dates in 2015 but can't be bothered to rearrange until 2017.

are you sure+ i read she's gonna do 15-20K in the US, which usually is not enough for top 10

In fact there is a track record of Tove Lo letting her fans down in the UK:

Nov 2014 Gig at Electric Ballroom (London) cancelled due to "very inflamed vocal cords"

Jan 2015 Gig at Koko London cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (was rearranged to March 2015)

Nov 2015 Dates in Manchester & London cancelled due to illness

Joanne 10+5

Million Reasons 40+4

Perfect Illusion just inside the top 100

Joanne is #10? But Joe. posted some other album is at #10 :

10 + 5 doesn't = 10 :')

It's hardly "letting her fans down" if she's ill or has inflamed vocal chords, I find that a bit harsh  plus I don't blame her for concentrating her efforts more on the US than the UK, it's a much bigger market, so why shouldn't she?

She was #15 yesterday so I thought he meant she is #10 today, meaning she went up 5 positions (+5).

Shouldn't it be easier to say #15 instead of 10+5?

If you cancel a concert at least have the decency to rearrange in a timely manner (as per the Koko London date).

US may be a bigger market but to break the UK market can be influential to the long-term success of an Artist's career.

The comparison was made in the thread to PJ Harvey, she was someone that put the work in with live dates, unfortunately it's a bit of an old-fashioned approach.

If you want a core loyal fanbase you need to get out there and perform, Tove Lo has failed to do that consistently.

I have to say, I never expected to see Tove Lo and PJ Harvey compared to one another so many times

Robbie's album has been reissued, with a new slipcase. No new tracks/it hasn't been updated or anything though, but yeah, I guess they're just cashing in on his promo and reminding people subconciously, that he exists in time for his new album next week!

It was put as highest new entry at #3 in Asda!

Really open playing field this week, can't wait to see whether Bruno will snatch #4 and where Clean Bandit will finish - plus I'm hoping Drake can climb as high as possible as he had a big stream increase today.

Exciting stuff

All hate aside. I honestly believe this James Arthur album is hands down one of best albums this year.

Is there a rule about that? <_<

Anyway, thank you :P

There isn't! :heehee: Although it probably isn't worth asking every day for an update cause not a lot will change each time!

She certainly did a lot of live dates at the start of her career. I went to many of them :D
