With there likely not being much left of the ANTI era after LOTB finishes it's run what would you change about the era so far? Would you have released different singles or changed the timing of them?

I wouldn't have done the 24-hour Tidal deal (I think everyone will say this lmao) and I would've also given Needed Me a bigger push worldwide, not just in the US as it's longevity over here with no airplay shows it could've been huge with it.

Needed Me or Kiss It Better would both have been interesting lead singles. Work had a very mixed reception when first released and I'm still not sure to what degree it caught on just by being Rihanna's comeback rather than being a song people were really into.

Love on the Brain would have been a good early-year release with one of the ballads, Close To You or Never Ending for nearer to Xmas.

I guess I would have not teased the album release for 2 years as it started to get people's backs up!

Needed Me really should have got a radio push, as soon as it started to outpeak KIB they should've sent it to radio.

Yes I do agree that 'Needed Me' should have had a bigger push, as despite it's #38 peak, it did have a pretty long chart span and if there was more support for it then it could have had a similar chart success like it had in the USA.

Also again agree that 24 hour TIDAL thing was just stupid and caused the album to peak no higher than #7 here in the UK, if it wasn't for that then it could have definitely made top 5 easily. Releasing 'Kiss It Better' and 'Needed Me' at the same time wasn't a smart move, as promoting 2 at once didn't leave time for them to grow, and what ended up happening was that one got favoured 'NM' over the other and 'KIB' got side lined and eventually ignored to a point where hardly anyone knew it existed and not to mention the terrible music video it got.

What should have been done is release 'NM' as the 2nd single and leave it a few months for that to shine, then release 'KIB', then maybe they both could have got better chart peaks worldwide and especially in the UK, where neither charted very high.

I don't think 'Love On The Brain' is gonna perform any better than these did, except maybe the USA, but for the UK, I honestly don't think it will make that much of an impact despite being a massively popular track, coz look at 'Kiss It Better', that was also popular upon the album's release, but when it was made a single, it was virtually ignored.

As for any other tracks on this album, I would have liked 'Desparado' to have been a single, maybe as a pre-album single, before 'Work', then it would have got people more hyped for the album.

The only thing I would've really changed is more promo. The single choices have been on point. I don't think the dual release was a big issue as she did it before with 'Stay' and 'Pour It Up' and they were both huge. 'Kiss It Better' just didn't click with the public. 'Love on the Brain' would really benefit from some promo in Europe as she seems to have alienated European radio with releasing urban songs like 'Work' and 'Needed Me' first which didn't get played at all. I think if Rih had recorded and released 'Cheap Thrills' that 'LOTB' would be played to death on the radio now as well. But we'll never know.

I hope there's no fifth single though and the next single will be a lead from the next album which will be pop and radio friendly.
