 I won't be shaking my money maker :( I love the track though on first listen

Yes a welcome return for disco strings in popular dance music....which dominated about eleven years ago but has declined since.

A great track....I hope it becomes a hit.

almost top 50 on UK Spotify now, perhaps a big hit awaits. Reminiscent of some of the recent US rap hits we've been having except Giggs is British.

Giggs - Lock Doh [feat. Donae'o]

I think Lock Doh's time has slightly gone now, judging by the fact it's been removed from R1 and 1Xtra now. It's still very popular though.

Hitimpulse - I'm In Love With The Coco

future bass cover version of US rap hit 'Coco', sounds like a future hit.

  • 4 weeks later...

Potential January 2017 hits -

Calum Scott - Rhythm Inside

Naughty Boy/Popcaan/Kyla - Should've Been Me

Robin Schulz/David Guetta/Cheat Codes - Shed a Light

The Weeknd/Daft Punk - I Feel It Coming

Frenship/Emily Warren - Capsize

Alma - Dye My Hair

Noah Cyrus/Labrinth - Make Me (Cry)

Sean Paul/Dua Lipa - No Lie

John Legend - Love Me Now

This will be huge if it gets a release (depends how soon they can get the rights to Kate Bush's vocal)

I think that violin style backing could be the soundtrack to the year, similar to how the DUN DUN DUN-DUN-DUN DUH drop in 'This Girl' was the soundtrack to a portion of last year. An edit to neaten up that track would equal a HUGE #1.

Seems likely to happen now that she's had a huge number one with Clean Bandit.

Alarm did brilliantly too so I imagine her next solo single will be a big top ten.

Amine - Caroline

Blowing up in America and see no reason why this can't be a streaming hit here too. So catchy.

I agree I think this will be huge, it sounds it.

Potential January 2017 hits -

Calum Scott - Rhythm Inside Not a fan of his

Naughty Boy/Popcaan/Kyla - Should've Been Me Absolute banger!

Robin Schulz/David Guetta/Cheat Codes - Shed a Light Disco anthem in the making

The Weeknd/Daft Punk - I Feel It Coming Not listened to this yet, still think Starboy will have longevity

Frenship/Emily Warren - Capsize Feels a bit old now

Alma - Dye My Hair Yes I think this will do well

Noah Cyrus/Labrinth - Make Me (Cry) There's an outside chance it could be a hit

Sean Paul/Dua Lipa - No Lie I hope it does well

John Legend - Love Me Now I don't think it will peak any higher

Violin style backings in popular dance music were the soundtrack to mid 2004 to mid 2006 (largely down to the impact of Lola's Theme, which influenced a lot of dance tracks after it), about time they made a return.

Posted video as it wasn't woprking. Production wise this really does sound a bit like some of The Freemasons stuff in the mid - late 00s

This one just got a music video, perhaps it'll get pushed in the new year. Bigg house tune.

Lushington - You Got Me Baby

Currently #213 on UK iTunes too.

I would love you to be correct on this one, even just so that Joss Stone has another top 40 hit to her name.

Who knew Joss Stone's voice would sound so incredible on a dance record?

Can i get my crown for mentioning 'Human' earlier *.*

Sage The Gemini's "Now And Later" will surely take off in the new year? itunes/spotify momentum and it sounds huge

along with these:

Machine Gun Kelly - Bad Things (sounds like one of those pop rap hits from 2011-ish, the public love this stuff)

The Weeknd - Party Monster (assuming it's a single at some point)

Sean Paul - No Lie

Robin Schulz & David Guetta - Shed a Light

Burak Yeter - Tuesday (awful version of the ilovemakonnen song but wouldn't be surprised if it crossed over from europe eventually)

anything Little Mix release from their album

I don't think that song's going anywhere sadly.

Lol I was mainly bumping because I love Joss and was happy it was her, rather than actually thinking it will be a hit.

Speaking of songs that I wish would be a hit but I am doubting, 'Hands Free' would be massive this year if there is any justice. Such a BOP and she reminds me of early Rihanna. Such a star.
