Well, this is one place better than Ben Failnow achieved (no hate, I actually rather liked 'Second Hand Heart'). I hope this climbs over the next few weeks, I do like Louisa and it's actually a pretty decent tune. I think it'll climb over the next few weeks, still high on iTunes and it broke the Spotify Top 50 today which is a good sign.

So Good reminds me of Alessia Cara's Here!

This, strange to see not many are getting this from it.

Indeed - and the charts at the moment are ridiculously hard to crack, so out-positioning Ben is rather impressive.

Even if Louisa doesn't make the Top 10, in today's chart climate, that doesn't make a song a failure at all. Loads of songs which have only managed Top 20 this year have ended up being really big.
Why does So Good remind me of Daydream In Blue?
I just really hope it's featured on an advert ─ would aid it similar to it did with Sax and You Don't Own Me and help it become a long running top 5

#20 is a fairly weak start for a recent XF winner (especially with the performance), though it'll no doubt climb over the weeks.

Song's alright I guess, bit drab though, kinda like a less-good version of Dangerous Woman or Here

I liked Ben Haenow enough, but I wasn't surprised when he flopped. He never really had massive commercial appeal. He was fit though.

Louisa, to me, feels like she has a lot more commercial appeal and will have a longer career.

Biography

Shawn Peter Raul Mendes (born August 8, 1998) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and model. He attracted a following in 2013, when he began posting song covers on the popular video sharing application Vine. The following year, he caught the attention of artist manager Andrew Gertler and Island Records A&R Ziggy Chareton, which led to him signing a deal with the record label. Mendes went on to release an EP and his debut studio album Handwritten, whose single "Stitches" reached the top 10 in the U.S. and Canada, and number one in the UK. - Wikipedia

I know charts are becoming harder and harder to crack but James Arthur did it, so should Louisa be able to crack it lol

'So Good' by Louisa has nothing on Rachel Steven's song of the same though, I'm sure we can all agree on that.

Arrgghhh, I struggle with 'Treat You Better' so much. I adore Shawn (if my sig doesn't give that away) and the song sounds magnificent to my ears, but at the same time, I kind of can't deny every accusation detractors have thrown at it. I do hope we leave 'Nice Guy syndrome' songs behind us in 2017. Shawn can, and has done, better.
