Anyone else having trouble accessing the midweeks? When I try and open the link it just says "Error retrieving this chart, please try again later"

Same here for last couple of hours. Must be a technical fault.

I guess there's many many people like me who bought and liked Emelie's first album because of the collaborations and solo hits but haven't heard anything yet to convince us to buy her new album. Hurts is good but not spectacular.
It really needed a big collaboration or two to mix it up, there're no blatant hit singles that can keep the hype train going for her so I assume this album will tank in comparison to OVOE

I still think it was a crazy decision to move onto Breathing Underwater when Hurts has proven itself to be a consistent seller on iTunes, it just needed a big tv performance to really push it, which X Factor could have done. She really sells it live, it would have at least made more of an impact than Breathing Underwater did.

In fairness to Breathing Underwater its impact probably isn't until Christmas week so plenty of time left!

Please bear in mind the above update is for yesterday due to the downtime of the site.

Any requests, please wait for todays' update to appear at some point today, any requests regarding yesterdays' update will be ignored, as positions are likely to be changed.

Black Beatles for Christmas #1 plz.

(unlikely though, I think it will be the X Factor winner this year if the rumours of Ed Sheeran writing the winner's single are true)

X Factor final is 11th December so it would have to hang on to the top for a second week to get Xmas #1. I want it to debut at #1 on 16th then get knocked off on 23rd hopefully by Rae Sremmurd or not get #1 at all in the case that Honey G wins

Bit of a shame Vaults are going to flop. It's much better than that tripe from last year's John Lewis ad.

is that down to streaming rules blocking everything out?

Olly Murs looks very safe for number 1 album  Grow Up finally looks set to become a top 30 hit too.

Little Mix and James Arthur will really battle for number 2, ideally, Little Mix will edge it. While i never really took much notice of Nathan Skyes or the Wanted for that matter i am really willing Nathon to do well this week and hold a top 20 album and top 30 single.

Olly still out-selling Emeli in the Album chart but surprisingly the biggest seller yesterday was Michael Ball & Alfie Boe.

The accompanying tour is no doubt helping, suspect they will stay in Top 10 all the way to Christmas.

Let's hope she gets Xmas #1 album if not this Friday. He's beating her because of physicals. She'll get #1 on album downloads as she's not left #1 on iTunes yet

Edited by Hadji

Being #1 on iTunes when it comes to albums means nothing though, ITunes downloads of an album are such a small % of the overall sales.
Looks like Michael Ball & Alfie Boe will overtake Cliff by Friday.
