Sigma are #39, Robbie is a couple of places out of the Top 40, Tom a couple behind him.

Disappointing for Robbie - he has held strong in the iTunes Top 15 but is clearly being hammered by streaming :nocheer:

Bye Bye Robbie  Looks like it will be close as to whether Zanetti will reach Top 40 - what's at #40 btw?

#40 is Heathens! It's definitely not impossible for Tom Zanetti and/or John Legend to make the top 40 this week actually.

Nathan Sykes please for singles and albums if anyone has the info - thanks!

Famous #32, album #23!

Is anyone else internally screaming at Adele being at #25?

I imagine Little Mix might helped by streaming? It might push them over the 100k mark if it's close.

So metallica only sold just over 3k yesterday? What a frontloaded mess  I really shouldn't of bought into the buzzjack hype for them thinking it would be close never again
How is Olly doing in both singles and albums please? Thank you :D

robbie on albums?Still 8?

Edit:

big thanks!

Is Ellie near the top 40?

Very near! Won't end up top 40 though, it's not selling enough.

Rossco - Olly is #25 in singles (likely to fall by Friday though), and #6 in albums.

sprock-93 - Robbie is #7 now!

It's really not that bad :P

Gutted that X Factor can't even seem to push Alicia's album back into the top 40.

Such a shame when it's one of the best albums of the year.

Those Little Mix sales and lead though! Wowzers.
Vaults out of the top 100?! I find that astounding, considering that the John Lewis Advert is everywhere.
People love charisma in their artists... Justin, Adele, Beyoncé, Rihanna etc have that in abundance. I'm sorry but as much as every now and then Little Mix release a big single, it's the girl's lack of charisma that disinterests people; they're overflowing with it when they perform (hence their good reception every time they're on The X Factor or something), but the magic is sort of lost when they talk or have to entertain whilst not singing and dancing. They're lovely, sweet, and funny girls, but they really are just 'the girl next-door' types and sadly people today are only interested in "STARS".

Taylor Swift is a "girl next door" type and is the biggest of them all in the US.

I feel like, right now, Little Mix are definitely among the biggest in the UK. Around the world, however, I don't think they will ever get to that level despite thinking they are super charismatic and talented. The reason for that, imo, is that their music is very teenybopper and, even when they try to chase current trends, they are always a bit late. In the UK, they are huge because they have full media support and people know them through the press and TXF but I don't think they'll ever get radio support around the world, which they'd need to get big. Like, I find comparisons with 5H tiresome and pointless most of the time but 5H sound is much more appropriate for top 40 radio around the world and are very in line with current trends (Worth It; Work From Home) so that's why they gotten so much airplay.

Also, when it comes to boybands vs. girlbands, they have the same public (girls) but boyband sales are driven by passion imo so they get huge really fast and fizzle out somewhat fast too. Girlbands' success, on the other hand, happen when people truly connect with the girls so it may take awhile longer for them to get familiar but, once it clicks, people are more attached to them imo. Also, girlbands tend to attract bigger gay fanbase and I feel like the gay public is really faithful.

Interested to see how many LM have sold since yesterday (if we get something today) as I don't think 100k is as in the bag as people make it out to be.

I don't think people think it's in the bag at all, it's much more likely to do around 95k (still an excellent result).
