I'm surprised that the Jo Cox charity single is not doing that well, I presume that this may be because:

 

a) It is not very good (though that never stopped NHS choir last year)

b) Sentiment is pretty negative towards MPs in general, regardless of the tragedy surrounding Jo's death.

 

Should the #1 actually be Clean Bandit it will be the first time since 2004 that the #1 on the Christmas chart was not a new entry (or change from previous week, i.e. climber).

I think it's because people are bored of charity singles now, only a few thousand people are going to buy singles just because they're for charity which isn't enough for #1. Not to mention no one wants to stream them.

I so wish I'd put more than £8 on Clean Bandit!

Clean Bandit's sales are still not going to be anything special though so it won't take THAT big an event to shift things. I'm not getting too excited until maybe Wednesday.

Me and my parents were listening to the Vodafone Big Top 40 and when my dad heard Rag'n'Bone Man was number one he insisted that he would put £20 on him being Xmas number one at 16/1.. I told him that he didn't stand a chance but nope :lol:
