It's nowhere near to the same degree as here.

True. You wouldn't think that though as they have a bigger population than us

Shame it got created because no other country has a compilation chart. The American NOWs for example chart in the Billboard 200

as far as I know the USA and France are an exception there rather than the norm.

Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Ireland and many other countries do have compilation chart.

And yes, these are in fact countries B-)

Hence why they don't have a compilation chart. If Now! compilations were topping the chart 60% of the year, they'd probably reconsider.

What OCC should do is allow compilations into the album sales chart as opposed to keeping the compilation chart

It weren't just NOW. It was also HITS what made OCC create a compilation chart

I find it amusing that the US have so many charts (irrelevant ones too) but don't have a compilations chart
I hope a few more Weeknd songs can sneak into the top 40 & I Feel It Coming can climb into the top 10, he's increasing a lot on streaming so it's a possibility.

That's simply not true. The NOW compilations regularly chart in the Top 5. What they don't do is top the chart on a regular basis.

ETA: Debut chart positions of the last 5 NOWs--4,4,7,5,7

All the TEAs from the singles get credited to the original artists, so their pure sales numbers are the same as their SPS numbers.

Just go back to album charts especially round Xmas season in the 1980s and you will see why the created that chart!

Speaking of farcical charts, Little Mix finally knocked Drake off of the album streaming chart #1 after 27 consecutive (28 non-consecutive) weeks at number 1.

Clearly the addition of streaming is really representative and works REALLY WELL on the albums chart.

If Adele released '25' a year later, then Little Mix wouldn't have had a No. 1 album.

True. But then that's the same with pretty much any album not released alongside Adele.

Not just NOWs. You are forgetting that the soundtrack for South Pacific spent 70 consecutive weeks at #1 on the album chart between November 1958 and March 1960. It spent 115 non-consecutive weeks at #1 between November 1958 and September 1961 and OCC didn't think to create a compilation chart then

Here we go

I meant that they should chart in the album SALES chart as well as the compilation chart
