Broccoli is by far my favourite of that last section. That song just makes me feel happy every time I listen to it. I like Lil Yachty's verse but D.R.A.M.'s enthusiasm is what makes the song.

Controlla is the highlight of that last section, the flow to that track is amazing.

Not the best Major Lazer song IMO, Boom was far superior (and Cold Water of course!)

Controlla is a pretty cool track from Drake, shame it was overshadowed by his other hits at the time.

Lock Doh  What an immense tune. Giggs always seems to pop up on one massive tune every year.

Not a fan of Light It Up though  That was overplayed and got extremely irritating.

10. Wretch 32 ft. Knox Brown - All My Dream

Peak Month: August/September

This is the type of music I love... credible but inspirational too. Wretch 32 is one of my favourite artists (and has the coolest speaking voice) and this was the best single he put out last year. Chest-fuelling lyrics and an on-trend Chainsmokers-esque drop made this the perfect end of summer song.

9. Tory Lanez - Luv

Peak Month: July

One of the biggest growers of the year for sure. Following Drake by jumping on the dancehall-trend, Toronto artist Tory Lanez scored a big summer hit with 'Luv' which almost broke through into the UK charts too - quite an achievement considering the sound of the song. Very popular track, samples a well-known dancehall song and worked wonders in the clubs and in the sun.

All a Dream & Luv, great start to the top ten! Also really enjoyed 'Dance for Me' a while back

At Night is absolutely incredible, HOW what that not a huge hit!

Don't Mind was a huge jam :music: love it when a track like that lights up the UK Charts

Starboy is fab too altho I do prefer I Feel It Coming of the pair

8. Kano ft. Wiley & Giggs - 3 Wheel-ups

Peak Month: January

Biggest Grime anthem of the year for sure! So anthemic and festival ready, as three of the UK's big hitters hooked up to create this early-year banger. Must point out Wiley's failure to appear in the video and all three have released big albums since this dropped. Huge.

7. Bryson Tiller - Don't

Peak Month: January

Probably the R&B slow jam of the year, this became very popular right at the start of 2016. Had actually been floating around for ages before Bryson Tiller was plucked from Kentucky obscurity and hit it big. Woozy beat and the type of song where the vibe outstrips the lyrics. Had great personal significance for me, as this dropped at the start of a testing year relationship-wise. Here's hoping Bryson Tiller isn't a one album wonder, although I find it hard to see how he can better T R A P S O U L.
