Well at least the only 2 albums I've listened to in full this year (Craig David & Drake) make an appearance! I can understand why people though Craig's was disappointing especially from an urban perspective but it's lucky I've enjoyed his forage into dance to like most of the album.

Views again I see where your coming from there's a fair amount of filler but there's a good 5/6 songs I've at one point been obsessed with.

Hi again Lewis

Totally agree with you that Apparently and Wet Dreamz are J. Cole's best tracks yet! We have must have good taste

Yay at Glory Days making it so high in yet another EOY countdown, everyone seems to be loving them this era. It's a fantastic pure pop album and hardly any duds (I'm only not huge on Down & Dirty)! I hope we get a five single era from the girls this time around, there are so many highlights! No More Sad Songs pls

I quite like Down & Dirty actually. :) I think 5 singles would be good, not sure which I would pick as the next single though.

Not really a fan of Little Mix, but their new album does have some catchy stuff on it!

Yeah, it's a really solid album :D

Loving both the Little Mix and Fifth Harmony albums!! Both are their best albums to date

I'd have to agree with that. :D

Yeah, I got bored of the Craig David album half way through.

There are a few great songs on the Drake album but there is too much filler I think.

Albums Chart

2. Watsky - x Infinity

He really needs to stop releasing albums in the same year as Ariana. This is the 2nd time he finishes runner-up to her. I didn't really think his last album could be topped and for the longest time I thought this was way of the standard. But with repeat listens and the more music videos released my love for this album is still rising. This certainly feels like his most adult album to date with less of the 'fun' tracks featured on other albums. This could easily overtake Ariana as my album of the year in a few more weeks.

1. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman

This was surely the obvious winner, I charted the whole album! Although I haven't listen to this anywhere near as much as I did My Everything, I believe this to be the stronger album. I have never been so excited for an album to be released as much as I was for this. There are so many potential singles on this album that I think this era could last for however long she wants is to. Everyday is apparently the next single which is a great song but I would have preferred Bad Decisions or Greedy. Well done to Ariana :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

What a fantastic #1 album, not a single dud on there for me! So so hyped to hear it all live in May!!
Yay terrific number one :cheer: Not a single filler there which is great!

Hi Lewis!

Down & Dirty is growing on me actually now, I like most of the track, it's just the weird drop thing that I'm not keen on. After Oops, I'd love for No More Sad Song and maybe F.U. or Nothing Else Matters to be a single actually!

No surprise at the #1 album there as you say but definitely a deserving winner. I agree as well that Everyday is a nice single choice actually and I do feel like it could be another hit for her with the right push, I think my favourite track remaining is the Macy Gray one but not sure if that would really work as a single as much as I love it :(

Looking forward to the singles countdown!!

I'm so jealous that you're going to see her. The tours during during my uni exams so I couldn't really go.

I agree. The whole albums so good. :D

Their all good shouts, I think I would go with Nothing Else Matters after Oops if I had to chose.

Yeah Everyday should do well. I agree that Leave Me Lonely wouldn't really work as a single, even though it is a fantastic track.

Thanks :)

Until my top 100 if properly finalized, I'll look at the songs that the 60 'new' songs of 2016 that miss out on my top 100. (They might not all be 2016 releases but they are all songs that I first enjoyed this year.

Here are the first batch of 25 that do not reach my top 100.

Ariana Grande - Greedy (3-12)

Ariana Grande - I Don't Care (11)

Ariana Grande - Knew Better / Forever Boy (15)

Ariana Grande - Moonlight (14)

Ariana Grande - Sometimes (6)

Ariana Grande - Thinking Bout You (13)

Ariana Grande - Touch It (12)

Ariana Grande ft Macy Gray - Leave Me Lonely (10)

Tackle all the Ariana tracks together. They all charted on Dangerous Woman release week. Only Greedy out of the two made another week. Greedy seems to be the fan favourite of this selection of tracks

Barei - Say Yay! (17) Eurovision track. Fun performance but I didn't like the studio version

Blonde & Craig David - Nothing Like This (20-14-14) The 2nd best thing off his album but still disappointing

Bob Marley ft LVNDSCAPE & Boiler - Is This Love (Remix) (18-20-20-20-18) First Bob Marley track I've actually enjoyed. I think he's massively overrated.

Charli XCX ft Lil Yachty - After The Afterparty (20-12-17-(x1)-18-15-18-19) Not her best but better than I was anticipating from her

Childish Gambino - Me And Your Mama (15) Ok track. Just charted off excitement for new music from him

David Bowie - Let's Dance (14)

David Bowie - Rebel Rebel (15-15) I didn't even know Let's Dance was by Bowie until this year and Rebel Rebel is one I've loved for ages without knowing it's title

David Guetta ft Zara Larsson - This One's For You (12-11-13-18) Nice track for the Euros. Not Zara's best though

Desiigner ft Kanye West - Timmy Turner (Remix) (17) Only listen to this because of a Spotify playlist. Panda is in the top 100

Dizzee Rascal ft Calvin Harris - Hype (19-10) What a disappointment. A far way off Dizzee's glory days

DJ Snake ft Bipolar Sunshine - Middle (20-(x1)-19-19) DJ Snake's best song of the year. Nice to listen to but slightly too dull

Drake - Controlla (20-18-15-19) I like this a lot more than the run suggests. The only problem is I heard it about 50 times before I had charted it

Drake & Future - Jumpman (19-(x1)-19) Catchy, but has been overshadowed by Drake's massive year

Drake ft 21 Savage - Sneakin' (11-14) Liked this way more than Fake Love originally but I forgot about this very quickly

Dua Lipa - Hotter Than Hell (11-16-14-18-16) Her follow-up was much better. She looks amazing in the video though

Emeli Sande - Hurts (20-10-12-17-19) Probably the closest to making the top 100 out of this section. Easily Emeli's best song ever

George Michael - Flawless (Go To The City) (14) My favourite song by him. I only heard this towards of the start of this year. So sad to see him go. RIP

Say Yay is one of my favourite Eurovision tracks!

Is This Love is an amazing dance track :music:

I disagree with you about Hype though, I actually really like it :D

Say Yay was my 4th favourite.

Is This Love is one of the better dance tracks of the year I think.

Hype was ok, it's just he used to be brilliant.

Hey Lewis!

I agree that Mwah was better than Hotter Than Hell but I really like both

Hurts is also my fave Emeli song ever! Gutted it wasn't more of a hit.

This One's For You is my least fave Zara song so far but it's still decent!

Yeah, Hotter Than Hell is decent.

I can't believe Hurts didn't at least reach the top 20.

Never Forget You is my least fave Zara track.

Here's the 2nd batch of 25

Iveta Mukuchyan - LoveWave (16) 2nd Eurovision track. I've forgot how this one goes but I remember the studio version was much better than Barei's

J. Cole - 4 Your Eyez Only (19) 9 minute track that ends the album. Very nice to listen to but doesn't sound like a single

Justin Bieber - Sorry (13-7-7-8-12) So good for a Bieber song. It's a shame WDYM & LY are so dull

Kaleo - Way Down We Go (17-19) From the FIFA 16 soundtrack. Reached my chart when it went top 40 on sales

Kanye West - Facts (16)

Kanye West ft Kendrick Lamar - No More Parties In L.A. (16)

Kanye West ft Ty Dolla $ign - Real Friends (20)

3 tracks from my 3rd favourite album of the year. Facts samples Jumpman and features the controversial Bill Cosby lyric. NMPILA & RF are two of the slower songs on the album and are very pleasant listens

Kendrick Lamar - Alright (14-16) Massive song from To Pimp A Butterfly. Won 2 Grammys

Kygo ft Maty Noyes - Stay (18-12-14-20) Kygo's best apart from maybe ID. Got boring quickly.

Lil Uzi Vert - Erase Your Social (17) Catchy song that I discovered from the Rap Caviar playlist on Spotify. I've only heard one of his other songs but I think he's gonna be massive this year

Lukas Graham - 7 Years (9-12-13) One of the biggest songs of the year. It got far too overplayed

Mø - Final Song (19-14-6-12) Loved this due to Radio 1 spamming it when I was in the car for my holiday. When I got home I lost interest in it

NEIKED - Sexual (13-10-13-20) One of the surprise hits of the year. Shocked by how massive this has been

Nick Jonas ft Tove Lo - Close (10-10-15-18) Both Nick's & Tove's 2nd hit in my chart. I think on both occasions, their previous hit was better (Jealous Remix & Talking Body

Offaiah - Trouble (18-13) Cool song but dance has really underperformed in my chart this year

Olly Murs - You Don't Know Love (18-15-17-17) Should have done better but I kept forgetting about it

Pia Mia ft G-Eazy - F**k With You (10-15) Very forgettable. Lucky to reach my top 10

Rag'N'Bone Man - Human (11-20) Already getting tired of it

Rob $tone ft J. Davis & Spooks - Chill Bill (16-15-14-(x3)-20) Brilliant rap hit that was massive in the US. Still shocked Radio 1 made it track of the day

Sia ft Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills (15-11-15-12-15-18) Almost unlistenable now. So overplayed

Skepta ft Pharrell Williams - Numbers (15-6) Massive tune. Was unfortunate that it only lasted 2 weeks due to the Dangerous Woman domination

The Weeknd - In The Night (12-14-13-16) Nice song but the weakest single from Beauty Behind The Madness

Yungen - Comfy (4-12-16-20) Loved it for a week, forgot about it for the rest of the year

Zara Larsson - I Would Like (9-10-(x3)-15) The worst Zara single since Never Forget You

ZAYN - PILLOWTALK (17-12-19-19) Much better than I expected when I heard he was releasing solo music

These are the 5 songs that I believe to have a good chance of featuring in my 2017 chart.

Ariana Grande ft Future - Everyday (9) As the next single, this will probably enter my charts again soon when it gets a video

Childish Gambino - Redbone (18-5-6) Loving this at the moment. Very close to making this years chart

Little Mix - Power (18) I think this will be a future single.

Little Mix ft Charlie Puth - Oops (12-10-5) Already smashing my charts. Such a good tune

Watsky - Going Down (12-11-13-17) One of the craziest songs I've heard all year. Not many other rap songs include a full verse discussing whether they would ever consider fellatio

Edited by RobinJuanPersie

Hi Lewis

Just been getting into Redbone this past week or so and have been really enjoying it, definitely a track I that I can see myself getting into more in the future. 3005 is still his best track yet though for me, that is a massive tune!

Hype was pretty terrible though so I'm glad it missed your list, Dizzee hasn't been good in years so no surprise there but Calvin has been on such top form for so long now so this was just shockingly bad for him, it just sounds like pure noise with terrible vocals on top, far from the greatness of stuff like HWDIYL and TIWYCF

:D
