I've just whacked a tenner on Human at 14/1...the best I could find right now. If any song is going to snatch momentum and get the media in a frenzy it will be this. If not then my Clean Bandit bet should theoretically be safe, but I need to safeguard myself :lol:

Human is lagging quite far behind on Spotify, I don't think it really has much chance of even being top 3 at this point.

I'm all for Human for #1 if it happens, Rockabye and Human have been pretty close over the weekend, an extra push for the track would do it, as Gooddelta said only needs around 10k and all the betting members who bet on CB... ouch :heehee: luckily I'm not a betting man. Oops just remembered not doing that well on Spotify... hmmm

 

Plus we do need some fresh blood at #1, 6 weeks for Rockabye is not that bad, I must admit its be an interesting battle for the Christmas #1 for a long time. And I'm glad all the charity singles are doing nothing at all and I knew from the start the Jo Cox track would do pretty peanuts :P

Humans last update is big!!! Matt has had his first dark green in all the week and decreases 0.05 :blink: Is there any reason for that big update?

Matt has increased due to The Winners Story being on XF this evening for the first time!

It was on 43k last week and is still climbing so I reckon it's on track for 50k sales this week (30k sales/20k streams) with Clean Bandit on around 60k (22k sales/38k streams), but this is assuming nothing else changes during the week.

 

For the sake of a 10k difference I can't rule out the media suddenly flocking behind it, the Xmas number one is an easy newspaper column inch filler in the week before Xmas and '7th week for Clean Bandit!!!' doesn't really whip up as much excitement as 'BRITs Critics Choice winner on lock for Xmas #1!'

 

I may well be talking out of my arse though, with Clean Bandit hammering the competition and the media barely mentioning the race for Xmas #1 this week!

Sounds plausible - it basically happened last year with Biebers promo of the tweet!

It would be nice to see Human pull out a sizeable lead on itunes, but it's not gonna make any difference officially when it's still trailing by 200k+ streams daily~

I'm not changing or betting on Human.

The odds shortening is up there with the Grand National. An exciting race for the Xmas #1.

 

 

Agreed, and whilst the lead does look impressive you have to remember that sales are on the floor right now - the #1 on the sales chart is looking to do around 25-30K which could be the lowest for the Christmas chart for a LONG time. Even Matt Terry's (temporary) lead of 300% last week wasn't enough to get anywhere near close.
