20 Zara Larsson - Lush Life

After she was featured on MNEK's surprise smash Never Forget You, Lush Life was the tropical flecked pop banger than broke Zara out as a worldwide star in her out! We all knew that Zara had immense star power, and that was proved by the fact this becoming a million "seller" (including streams ofc) in the UK throughout the course of 2016. Despite being so huge, Lush Life is one of those songs you just never get fed up of hearing it out or in shops etc. is still a moment *.*

19 Francesca Michelin - Nessun grado di separazione

The penultimate Eurovision entry to appear, although there is an Melfest song between them! This wasn't exactly a fan favourite but my love of the Italian langauge made this lovely song shine straight away and it was my favourite for ages until a certain song toppled it... I'd loved Francesca's debut single after winning Italian X Factor in 2012, called Distratto, but never really kept up with her until this! The album was brilliant too, she is very versatile.

18 Kelly Clarkson - Piece By Piece (Idol version)

Piece By Piece was already my favourite on the same-titled album, but THAT Idol performance really made it shine even more for me. Whilst the original production is already lovely, this more stark version highlights the lyrics, letting them shine for the emotional and personal work that they are. But of course, the shining feature as always is Kelly's vocal performance, evoking every emotion the lyrics speak of effortlessly.

17 4Minute - Hate

So the highest BJSC song of the year is Hate, sent by Cadelica (Oliver)! This K-Pop stomper is impeccably produced by Skrillex, with a mostly instrumental chorus that is just huge, juxtaposed with subtle verses that build up to it. It's a shame the group have now disbanded, more songs of this ilk would have been amazing. How on earth did this not make the TBO final?!

16 Ace Wilder - Don't Worry

The penulimate Eurovision related entry, this really should have been Sweden's representative for Eurovision </3 This 90s inspired absolute banger is even better than 2014's Busy Doin' Nothin' somehow, with its relatable and uplifting lyrics. It did nearly as well as that in Melfest too, but was only 3rd behind Oscar Zia and the horrendous Franz. Ace is back for this year's edition, so perhaps it can be third time lucky?

So excited to see HATE here! It made it into my EOY as well, although not quite so high! Still, surprised to see it on anyone else's at all as it is pretty niche!

Nice to see Lush Life here :music: The best thing she's put her name to imo

Don't Worry as well  I discovered it way after Melodifestivalen though so it had no chance in my PC :(
