January 1, 20178 yr Are Major Lazer still releasing this Friday then? They'd get really overshadowed by Ed if they did.
January 1, 20178 yr Are Major Lazer still releasing this Friday then? They'd get really overshadowed by Ed if they did. They are. That's why I'd prefer it if one of them released last Friday or postponed a release for a week or two
January 1, 20178 yr Are Major Lazer still releasing this Friday then? They'd get really overshadowed by Ed if they did. They are in the release schedule for Friday, I think Kiesza is also releasing, really don't know how well that will do though with Dearly Beloved
January 1, 20178 yr Lone Digger and Tilted  great to see boosts for them! Looks like the year's off to a flyer in terms of big commercial releases~ Ed grabbing that #1 spot surely though for how long exactly could depend on the song
January 1, 20178 yr Major Lazer has no chance against Ed  It would have to be like Adele or maybe a 1D comeback or something to beat Ed, not just Major Lazer.
January 1, 20178 yr Are Major Lazer still releasing this Friday then? They'd get really overshadowed by Ed if they did. It doesn't really matter does it? Major Lazer are still a big enough name to perform well, especially given as the snippets of the new song sound quite commercial. I doubt there care too much about the charts. Also, the Ed Sheeran song might not be the huge commercial comeback everybody is expecting? Like Justin Timberlake in 2013 or Rihanna last year.
January 1, 20178 yr Roughly every ten minutes. Thanks! -_- It doesn't really matter does it? They could get to #1 in a few weeks I reckon.

I'd be very surprised if Ed didn't storm to #1 with a huge lead on both Spotify and iTunes tbh! x was a MASSIVE album, even bigger than his debut despite a worsening album market. It really depends on the song of course but I can see it being more of a Hello than a Suit & Tie for example. The Major Lazer song does seem to be shaping up to be a big hit, I can see it going top 3 although with Ed in the mix, #1 does seem a tough ask.
January 1, 20178 yr I think Major Lazer are the sort where it depends on the song, or a big name featuring on it. Like of course with Justin Bieber on a song they're gonna go straight to #1 with it, Nicki Minaj is a big name but not the level where she'd rocket them to #1. The names combined should easily be a top 10 or top 5 though I'd have thought. THeir album sounds bloody amazing though, they've apparently worked with Sam Hunt, Sia, Tove Lo, Camila Cabello and Tinashe!
January 1, 20178 yr I think Ed Sheeran will obviously be #1 on iTunes very quickly but I predict the song will be more like 'Suit & Tie' than 'Hello'. The big smash will come later from the album.
January 1, 20178 yr Author Roughly every ten minutes. It's a bit longer than that isn't it? I thought it was more 15 - 20 minutes.

January 1, 20178 yr Yeah, I'm with most here, Ed Sheeran will nearly certainly be #1. No doubt that Major Lazer are also capable of a top 5 debut, though, maybe even #2.
January 1, 20178 yr I don't think Major Lazer will debut top ten but they're the sort of artist who climb very quickly Edited January 1, 20178 yr by cqmerqn
January 1, 20178 yr Yaah, I was hoping Saint Claude will do something as well, she performed it. I had to turn off after 1am, I was dropping off to sleep, so I don't know if she performed anything else after that. Yes, she did Sign Your Name but I don't think that's available.
January 1, 20178 yr Yay Caravan Palace! If only it could smash the charts! Is there a video anywhere of their performance last night?
January 1, 20178 yr I don't think Major Lazer will debut top ten but they're the sort of artist who climb very quickly I'm pretty sure they will, they're bound to have playlist support from the off (I mean, look at how quickly Cold Water found itself on all the big playlists) and some pretty decent curiosity sales, I'd be surprised if they missed out on the top 10!
