Posted January 1, 20178 yr Hey guys, I've decided to take the Spotify & iTunes combined chart into my own hands, with the permission of Dan. :D The charts you'll see below are rolling 24 hour charts which take into consideration all services that the Official chart do, estimated as accurately as possible. Obviously, the figures aren't going to be TOTALLY accurate, though they will give a decent idea of the biggest sellers of the day and how many copies they've sold. I'm going to be estimating figures from other streaming and sales services, under the assumption that Spotify equates for 70% of the chart's streams, and iTunes equates for 85% of the chart's sales. This is exactly the same thing as Ethan and Dan were doing last year I probably won't be able to give an update every day but I'm going to try to do then as often as possible ^_^ If you want the last 24 hours' sales for any individual song feel free to ask in the thread, I'm more than happy to estimate sales for specific songs :) Edited March 18, 20178 yr by mdh

The top 40 threshold yesterday was 1772 sales and today it's dropped by over 500 to 1239. Oh well. We see two tracks enter the top 40 for the first time, Oops by Little Mix comes in at #35, and No Lie by Sean Paul at #39. Looks like they'll enter the official top 40 this week then, good good :D - JP Cooper absolutely LEAPS up, taking advantage of the low sales, to #25 - he looks like he'll debut with a chart play! Starley also has a big boost up the chart, and ZAYN rebounds up a few places. In terms of the top 10, Bruno Mars climbs 3 into the top 5, although he's nearly 100 sales away from what's a totally static top 4. And, after being over 3,000 behind this time two days ago, Rag'n'Bone Man is now less than 1,000 away from Clean Bandit! - John Legend and Robbie still look good for chart plays this week, and speaking of chart plays, Starley has climbed into the chart play zone for the first time, up another 4. Drake drops a massive 7 out of the zone, and Adele & Jax Jones continue to climb. I've put 're' or 'ne' signs to show which songs in the chart are not currently officially top 40. That's about it for today :D

David Guetta and Robin Schulz enter the top 40 for the first time, up 4 with Shed A Light, and Sean Paul, Little Mix, Adele and Jax Jones all make big climbs up the chart, the latter of the four climbing six from 30 to 24, into the chart play region. Looks like You Don't Know Me will be BIG. - Starley climbs up four more to 22, and ZAYN makes a big jump back into the top 20. Also of note is JP Cooper, that track by him reaches the top 15 for the first time ever, up another four more places, and directly above him John Legend climbs up three with Love Me Now, now on the brink of top 10! Speaking of the top 10, not much happens today except Louis Tomlinson climbs back in after a few days out, and The Weeknd jumps 4 from 13-9 with I Feel It Coming. The top 5 remains static, although Zara Larsson moves to within 1,000 copies of Clean Bandit and Rag'n'Bone Man edges closer than ever to them.
