Truly massive shunt between Button and Wehrlein. Glad to see Pascal is ok and able to get out and walk away once they pulled the car out the barriers

Well that race certainly livened up towards the end! Major oops moment from Button there.

Feel for Kimi, complete puppet in that Ferrari team, harks back to the Barrichello days.

Great to see Danny Ric on the podium!

Wow that whole podium ceremony was laughably unorganised.

so pleased for ricciardo and vettel but gutted for kimi. 2nd is nothing to be sniffed at but i thought the race really was his as it went on. impressive improvement for hamilton too.

side note.. that minute silence was an absolute mess. people even on the track chatting and smiling during it. so disrespectful.

dream come true

I hope you had a great time. Wow!, what a great spot.

lucked out and got a seat with a view of the pit stops too 😱 and even luckier the ones in front of me were Mercedes Ferrari and Red Bull. vandoorne crashed right in front of me and I've never heard anything like it. will never underestimate the power of the cars again.

Unsure if anyone is bothered, but I've worked out how last years' championship would have panned out if the points system was still the same as before (10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1). Interestingly, Nico would have come second as Hamilton scored the same number of points but had more victories! So we can be thankful we're no longer on the old system (unless you're a fan of Lewis )!

Not at all that's very interesting thanks for that.

Reminds me of when Bernie penned that ridiculous medal system where it would be down to number of victories & there was an article revealing all the changes in titles throughout the history of the Sport had such system been in place from the start. I think Prost would have had like 6 titles & Mansell/Clark 2 extra.

Liberty Media want more than 21 races a year apparently. I'd be interested to hear what people think of this, whether they think this is a good idea or not.

against

as much as i'd selfishly like to watch more races i think there are even some current circuits that could be scrapped so adding more would just seem pointless. they should shake up the current calendar before even considering adding more imo.

sochi can go for a start..

I'm not against more Grand Prix provided the current calendar is adjusted.

The loss of Malaysia is not good as that's a good circuit and doesn't have a billion miles of run off. All these hyper-sterile Tilke droams can do one. Love that France is returning, but Paul Riccard. Nej takk.

Circuits like Spa and Nurbergring that punish driver who f*** up are where we need to be. Gravel traps are far better than concrete.

Kubica was testing the 2012 Lotus-Renault E20, in 2017 Renault livery, today at Valencia!!! Did 115 laps and a mix of long runs, qualifying pace and practise starts.

If I was Palmer I'd start getting very f***ing worried for my job security as Renault have indicated that he may do further tests - presumably in older machinery again

Wall of Champions says otherwise

(I realise you meant run offs but couldn't resist it)

Oh wow that's great to hear! One of the best drivers on the grid back in 07/08 in my books, was such a great moment him winning in Montreal a year after THAT crash.

Of course! If they want to make every circuit like Monaco and Canada where the walls hug the circuit, that's even better. If you can't keep it on the circuit, DNF you shall!!

An remarkable man is Kubica. Never thought I'll see him behind in an F1 car again.

Now or never for McLaren and Honda in regards to keeping Alonso.

I'll be amazed if he stayed at McLaren next year for sure. Almost been embarrassing how McLaren have been in 2015 and at the start of this year.
