July 11, 20178 yr I don't think it's in doubt, Brands Hatch are supposedly willing to snatch it. It's just for a better deal and I don't blame them. Renault have confirmed that this second Kubica test at Paul Ricard next week is for him to test his capabilities to return to the top level of competition. AKA an audition. BRB am dying. I would be amazed if Brands Hatch ever hosted another Grand Prix. The circuit just doesn't meet current safety standards and I can't imagine they have the funds to completely rework the site. A shame as it's a beautiful track

A shame as it's a beautiful track Add to that, the restricted usage of the full circuit due to noise complaints. I think Donnington Park would be a more likely replacement, assuming it is nearly to Grand Prix standards (as it was looking to replace Silverstone a few years back iirc).

I was at Donnington last month (although not the circuit) and the road access and site facilities are certainly superior to Spa. It's a great track too so I would imagine so
July 12, 20178 yr Author I do feel we really do need a British Grand Prix in F1. No matter where it is. It's a shame that Silverstone looks very likely to drop F1. Can't see Brands Hatch or Donington Park hosting F1.

Looks like literally everyone is there except Lewis.

July 13, 20178 yr Even Liberty Global had a dig at Hamilton for not attended by saying they were loved the participation of "all teams and 19 drivers". No excuse for Hamilton not being there. Hes paid more than enough, this is part of his job. In other news today there are rumours that Sauber-Honda is dead before it began. Apparently Honda pulled out after Monisha was pushed out. Renault's short lived TP Vasseur replaces her. (I'd happily do a swap and take Monisha in some capacity at RF1)

(And it was f***ing blatant) Could be on for a Ferrari front row and Kimi pole with a Renault powered row 2 with Verstappen and Hulkenberg! Hulk has a new floor on his Renault this weekend and it's clearly doing the job for them
July 15, 20178 yr Pity he had a 30-place grid penalty looming (and Vandoorne outqualified him regardless surprisingly). What a monstrous lap from Lewis! Didn't actually realise Bottas had a grid penalty that's a bit of a shame. Bit of a gutter for Danny Ric but I suppose it's about time something happened to his car instead of Max for once...
July 15, 20178 yr Stormer of a lap from Vandoorne to out Q Alonso for the first time. Two weeks in a row tho Williams have had an absolute shocker! No action against Hamilton :rolleyes: What a surprise that is.

Loved seeing Danny carve through the field too, top 5 from the back of the grid! Best of all only 1 point in it now, game very much on.

Best of all only 1 point in it now, game very much on. very much everything said here i especially enjoyed (as much as i don't like him) the shot of hamilton coming out of the pits JUST in front of bottas. had goosebumps. great for red bull this race (considering), not very good for ferrari. both getting punctures in the last laps what's with that? a really good race overall. the last few laps challenged azerbaijans mess as my most memorable of the season. also max v seb was a highlight! Looks like literally everyone is there except Lewis. I think the way Lewis treated this weekend and topped off his victory with his interaction with the crowd pretty much answers the critics.
