The performance was brilliant, her vocals were solid for her and of course I am living for the Trump and May dragging  She always puts on a good show you have to give her that.

It was interesting that Matty said for popstars not to stop speaking out and not to "stay in their lane", and then like 30 mins later Katy came out with that. I think her vocals sounded pretty okay too, though she did use a heavy backing track.

And the staging was sooooo much better than it was for the Grammy performance. I actually didn't notice the one house falling though so I'll have to re-watch it!

Woop at another top 5 hit for her in the UK, it's doing so well now off the back of the Brits and video which is great to see. Would love for it to maybe a sneak a #3 or #4 peak !

Yay at sales increasing so much following the BRITS performance and video. Really hoping it doesn't just drop out of the top 10 this week due to the Ed invasion :(

Things have changed so much chart wise since then, she could still amass a very nice total even if the chart run/positions aren't as good. I suspect this is one that will hang around for some time, never quite exploding.
Am I correct in thinking shes not had a feature on a lead single before? I can't remember if CG was the first single from Teenage Dream.

California Gurls did come first, so this is the second occasion in which she's had a feature on the lead single ^_^

Thanks for clearing that up I've got an awful memory

#13 in today's midweeks and probably like to fall out of the top ten this week (after just three weeks!), it would be nice if it could re-enter once the Ed Sheeran tracks fall away but it's hard to say how long that'll be really. I know we've only just had this but I wonder when/if a second single will be released and when we're going to get more album news, hopefully not long!!

it's not a big problem though, I mean without the Ed releases she'd still be top 5, which is very good going! I suspect it will climb back into the top 10 soon, it's not going anywhere iTunes-wise and I suspect the OCC will impliment a rule which gets rid of the Sheeran tracks soon anyway.

Tbh the success of the track has blew me away - it's on the Radio everywhere I go and all my friends love the track, very pleasing to see as it's her best song by far :D

Yeah, given the circumstances it's not a massive deal, even though it's frustrating to look at. It's #2 on iTunes and the sales haven't decreased. And it's #1 on UK airplay today!
