The National look like possibly the biggest contenders for #1, their last album opened on over 20k, i could see them either *just* getting there or just missing out to Ed. Nothing But Thieves should notch a Top 5 place along with Neil Young!

also go Susanne Sundfor! shall be giving that a spin as the two tracks i've heard are really good <3

Will be nice to see some really good sales at #1 again - Foo Fighters seem pretty certain to pass Silver certification in their first week. Same goes for The Killers the following week. After that, I imagine the main contenders for #1 will go Shania Twain -> Liam Gallagher -> P!nk -> Niall Horan -> Michael Ball & Alfie Boe -> Sam Smith -> Taylor Swift, so lots of high sales on the horizon.

Agree with most of those weeks except maybe Stereophonics beating Michael Ball & Alfie Boe on release week (over Christmas period M.B. & A.B. should get a week at #1 though).

Also not completely sure about Niall Horan making it to #1 Album, George Michael re-release should do well but indeed looks a week where lower Sales may be enough.

Yeah, I was a bit unsure who'd come out on top between Michael/Alfie and Stereophonics, but Stereophonics opened with 45k with their last album and I think, following the success of their collaboration last year, Michael/Alfie will receive good first week sales, as well as selling well over Christmas.

George Michael will do well but I can see Niall's album appealing to people of all ages which I think will give him the advantage.

I wouldn't be surprised Alexander Armstrong with the RPO album might do the business as well, he practically falls with Michael Buble / Michael Ball & Alfie Boe bracket, with the older generation picking Alexander's album up.

Have to say I'm surprised Fergie isn't top-10 yet, and Macklemore has managed to go top-5, given how poorly his last album fared

Love that The Fizz are Top 10! Responding well to the promo they have done.
 15 Lady Gaga - Joanne (Deluxe)

Much welcome boost for this

Boost linked to Netflix Documentary...or something else?

but hasn't the netflix thing been out for days now?

Yes, released for streaming last Friday.

Joanne received a boost when the Netflix documentary premiered but has been climbing ever since. It's been gaining a lot of media attention this past week which is why it's still climbing. It didn't just suddenly jump to #15 out of nowhere today.
