The Sound registered a #15 chart peak, one of their most outright 'pop' singles yet with its gleaming synths and memorable hook <3 B9BLMNn0PrQ 9 CHVRCHES feat. Hayley Williams - Bury It 340 Bury It got the single treatment off CHVRCHES' really good second album Every Open Eye, not to mention a flashy animated video, and a feature from Paramore's Hayley Williams of all people! my fellow scots moving up in the world *.*

And a few years later she delivered a storming pop single with What's It Gonna Be!

Sound-wise felt very different in the pop charts, and for my money probably one of the better Blurryface singles (behind the terrific Tear in My Heart obviously) NbtEy1Wdqj0 5 AlunaGeorge feat. Leikeli47 & Dreezy - Mean What I Mean 407 May have been a questionable inclusion for some but it's here nonetheless~ highly infectious pop/dancehall banger with some great rap verses, taking what they'd done on "I'm In Control" and arguably pulling off something just as good, if not better!

Not a bad song, their other 3 entries in this are superior in my opinion but with Heathens being the most commercially successful over here, it only makes sense it ended up ranking the highest WUcXQ--yGWQ 3 MØ - Final Song 464 danish singer MØ got a taste of chart success on Major Lazer's all-conquering Lean On in 2015, and it was her turn for a solo smash one year later with Final Song! Looked set for the Top 2 but Noah's votes moved something else ahead at the last second~
March 22, 20178 yr Author blJKoXWlqJk 2 The xx - On Hold 465 Snatching #2 by a single point is The xx's long-awaited comeback with "On Hold"! it certainly exceeded my expectations anyway- great vocals from Romy & Oliver as they depict a broken relationship, before Jamie's upbeat production kicks in followed by a pitch-shifted Hall & Oates sample. A delight to see this become another Top 40 hit for these guys~

Its crossover potential was realised in 2016, with the new english version "Tilted", and eye-catching performances on Jools Holland and Graham Norton helped this wonderful track eventually reach the UK Top 20! :mellow: Awarded points from 23 of the 28 voters, you can't deny this is a worthy winner, g'wan Christine and the Queens *.*
