Tales of Us was atmospherically very good, but it lacked in catchy hooks and grooves.
January 23, 20178 yr Really good single, I love it on first listen, now here comes a but... I don't think the single will do anything they hardly chart in the singles chart these days, I love A & E, The Seventh Tree is such an amazing album, actually I must give that album a play, haven't played it for ages. Just realised they have a greatest hits album, never knew that existed, goes and purchases it :D I have to agree the new track does give out 'Black Cherry' vibes
January 23, 20178 yr They always do one downbeat album followed by one up-tempo/electro album. I still haven't listened to Tales Of Us, oops. This is solid, I like the sound of it! I think I will be checking this album out. They were one of the best live acts I'd ever seen when I saw them tour for Seventh Tree.
January 24, 20178 yr I enjoyed that ^_^ Really looking forward to the album - it made me want to re-visit some of their older stuff and watch a documentary on YouTube about the making of Black Cherry, it was so cool haha
January 26, 20178 yr I forgot this was coming! I'm a massive Goldfrapp fan. I assumed they'd wait until nearer the end of the year to release again. Tales of Us was gorgeous, definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to giving this one a listen after work :D
March 27, 20178 yr Did not hear Moon In Your Mouth yet. So far songs from "Silver Eye" album feels good to me.
April 1, 20178 yr Author After listening to the album, I do have to admit I'm a bit disappointed that 'Anymore' wasn't actually a representation of what the album would sound like. Obviously I wouldn't have wanted a direct copy, but it did seem like Goldfrapp were returning to the more discoy, glittery pop of Supernature. It's more electronic than Tales of Us was and there are some nice sounds and melodies, it's just that there's nothing particularly grabbing me. The second track, 'Systemagic', is pretty good though and I really like 'Ocean'.

I agree with you in the same I feel about Jamiroquai and Nelly Furtado's new albums. They all happen to be released on the same day and I have to admit I am disappointed in the lack of a killer tune.
May 21, 20187 yr New version of Ocean is coming and will feature vocals from Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode!
