Obviously, Sharon's side job and the job that Johnny had foisted on him despite training to be an alleged lawyer is much more important than Tracey's raison d'etre and job of 30 years. Why does Sharon seem to want the job so much? Also, is Tina at the Vic now?

Yeah I didn't understand this at all! Clearly Sharon's shoe-spending money is more valuable than Tracey's sole income.

It was pretty out of character for Sharon to not sacrifice herself for Tracey when she can just borrow from Phil's seemingly renewable money bin.
I assume Sharon sticking around at The Vic is just because she'll own it by the end of the year. That's what I hope, anyway.

The writers have put plot over characterisation :/ There's no way Sharon would've stayed over Tracey or even cared to keep her job, she was only there to keep an eye on things. Tracey's the one who's sacked for maximum impact because we probably wouldn't have really cared less if it was one of the others.

I'm guessing Woody is somehow involved in this whole anti-Walford plot as well? The Lauren, Max, Josh etc. plot is one of the most interesting at the moment, it's just a shame it's moving so slowly  At this rate we won't be finding anything out until like Christmas :/

It's just the kicked off the story last Christmas :/ A whole year to get to reach a conclusion is a joke unless something huge is going to happen!

I mean I suppose given that Johnny has finished his dissertation you can somewhat see he might need a summer job, while he finds a real one, but I expect they'll just forget about his aspirations and he'll work in The Vic forever. Hopefully they give him a job and write him out with it :drama:

I think Tracey's sacking will probably serve as the catalyst for Mick coming back, fighting with Woody and presumably binning him. then Tracey can have her job back. I agree it's lazy writing for the sake of the plot coming through at the expense of characterisation, Sharon doesn't need the money, she knows that, and she's the sort of person who has bigger fish to fry than a temporary job helping a friend out. If they've got "too many staff" she doesn't need to help anymore and Sharon would step down. Tbh I don't know why Linda got her in the first place if she was just going to get Woody in...

Nothing is happening atm, it's typical that pretty much the only intriguing storyline atm (I love the Donna/Jay/Ben/Abi unit but that's background really) is moving so slow. Christmas is probably a good shout, I imagine the pub will change hands around then to whoever, as new pub owners always seem to happen then  I expect where Max is working is sort of a big parent business thing that will buy up say the pub, maybe the Albert, perhaps even Ian's businesses, and it will eat away at the community spirit and make Walford feel very different. Perhaps Woody will come back properly and own the pub or Fi even, or maybe they have family who'll buy it idk.

Lmao are they REALLY going for a gentrification So SoDo SoPa South Park storyline!!

Yeah ... Sharon would never do that. If she is helping out, she wouldn't do it for money over 30 year stinter Tracey!! Tracey, been there 30 ears, would not even be on the menu to go!!

I think maybe Fi is there to help run the Vic further into the ground forcing the Carters to close up? Maybe then a storyline of the company wanting to convert it to flats, mass community protest etc. Max decides to switch allegiance back to his community going against the company at the last minute and then someone like Sharon steps in and buys the Vic.

If it does end up being that I'll be quite disappointed but I can't see them not going down this route  Please give us something interesting, writers!

Yeah that's a good shout too, I'm hungry for something bigger given how long it will take but it'll probably be that and Abi or Lauren find out towards the end what Max is plotting and he changes sides and does the right thing for his daughters and it's all one big happy community again yay peace love and warmth :)

Where is her soap award though, Jane Slaughter can legit act

If the pub gets knocked down, don't forget, Den Watts is under the floorboards.

^ He isn't:

The three women bury Den in the Vic cellar and concrete it over. Arguments between the women occur, and Sam and Chrissie become embroiled in a feud to regain ownership of the Vic, with Sam blackmailing Chrissie and digging up Den's body in the hope that Chrissie will be imprisoned, and Chrissie subsequently framing Sam for Den's murder, which leads to Sam's imprisonment. Eventually the truth is revealed, and Chrissie is imprisoned after pleading guilty. Den is finally given a proper burial in his 'original' grave next to Angie.

Even as a staunch supporter of NuMichelle, I still laughed at her saying 'maybe I'm just not that person anymore'.

Loving the Tracey focus. I'm surprised they make any money without her since she's the only person I ever see working in there. I still don't get how Whitney couldn't have been binned instead. She has all them childcare qualifications she seems to have forgotten about. Love Vincent poaching Tracey for himself though.

And I just cannot feel sorry for Louise in the slightest given how bipolar her character seems to be. That and the fact that drunk Sharon and drunk Michelle are practically life.
