LOVE the album on first listen will probably do a full album ranking at some point but its a very strong Hip Hop Album imo .Barbie Dreams in particular left me shook !

This is so much better than I was expecting it to be. I’m liking it a lot, the single choices were really weak.

I’m liking Chun-Li a lot more in the context of the album though, having said that.

Cherry picked Majesty (as I imagine a lot of people will do) and wow *.*

The album as a whole is on my to-listen list too despite Bed being the only single I’ve liked so far

It’s all about Good Form and Chun Swae for me at the moment.

Barbie Dreams getting a lot of praise on Twitter!

Anyone know when the physical will be out?

Edit: 21st September according to HMV :o

This is such a strong album!! I'd say it's easily her best since Pink Friday.

The highlights for me are Barbie Dreams, Majesty, Chun Swae and Good Form (as well as the singles)!! All bangers *.*

I can't listen to Barbie Dreams without bursting out laughing it's so good  That & Majesty are both really good though, the album is honestly much better than I was expecting it to be

The word of mouth for this album is phenominal at the moment! I wonder if it will clear 200k in the US after all.

Good Form has grown on me a lot - my favourite off the album :music:

"Majesty" sounds like a smash and "Chun Swae" sounds like it would go OFF in a club and mop up on the urban charts. And then "Barbie Dreams" for its lyrical content feels like a potential viral smash as well.

I love "Bed" but it doesn't feel like the obvious choice as a single with those three sat there...

Good Form needs to smash

Not sure I like it as much as Pinkprint but it's *much* stronger than I'd feared.

Nicki also shows a lot through it the things that set her apart from a lot of other rappers, her command of language, vocabulary and wordplay. This is why she can call herself a queen etc. and make claims like no-one else being on her tier. Not many people *are* doing that and it's incredibly reductive and dare I say even sexist to always position her or talk about her as someone who just raps about her own ass.

(Which in itself is largely an ironic twist on other male rappers going on always about women just as irritating and/or as body parts. Nicki is saying yes, I have a body - like otherwomen - and I'm not going to deny that truth, but I have a mind and a voice too and self-awareness. It's actively not choosing to have to act like a disembodied unsexed mind just because she also has thoughts and a brain. She's saying in her rap and in her life "I am both so I'm going to *be* both and talk about both." I think that's a statement.)

I have a feeling Majesty was meant to be released as a single instead of Bed, considering the fake romance between Nicki & Eminem in May which would've been great promo for a potential single including both artists. That was only a few weeks before Bed was sprung on us too. I think perhaps Majesty was intended to be the single but they switched lanes last minute thinking that all the Ariana hype would work better to promote the single & the album. Bed was kind of a hit but it didn't do anything spectacular anywhere and definitely wasn't a great launchpad for the album whereas I think Majesty could have been a lot bigger.

Barbie Dreams is obviously gonna be a huge hit though, in the US especially.

I've still not listened all the way through because this album is so damn long but I'm really enjoying "Ganja Burns" and "Majesty" and "Rich Sex" is kind of growing on me too. "Thought I Knew You" is good also.

Really can’t get enough of this, wasn’t expecting to like it this much at all.

Sir is my new favourite 🤤 when those harmonies come in towards the end of Nicki’s part👌🏼

Majesty is probably my least favourite now. Really like Nicki and Eminem’s parts but Labrinth totally ruins it and some of the production sounds so dated.

#5 in the mids with 4.3k sold.

I’ve listened to most of it as ‘Bed’ showed she can still make good beats and there is some good stuff on here, Majesty and Good Form being the standouts but a lot of it is quite samey, it doesn’t compare to her others sadly :(

Majesty would've been a better album title tbh. I find 'Queen' a bit basic and done before...

I need to throw some hype on "Coco Chanel", it's creeping up on me so much today!!
