Omg yes!! If anything can bring Ed down from #1 it's this.

Kinda hoping it's a Drew/Chris Martin duet too *_*

Ed will go himself

Just wait couple of weeks and even his biggest lemmings will be sick of this song

I'm gonna wait til after the BRITs to hear it, just in case it's performed there, but judging by the first 12 seconds that came on autoplay it's very alike to Paris, in the kind of instrument-like way. Vocals sound normal Coldplay.

I'll listen to it in full after the BRITs.

ooh... love this... something to shift Ed Sheeran from the top... methinks

The song should be credited as Coldplay & The Chainsmokers over here due to Coldplay being British. The British artist always gets credited first over here whereas the other artist gets credited first overseas. Prime examples include

Louis Tomlinson & Steve Aoki

Digital Farm Animals & Cash Cash

MNEK & Zara Larsson

George Michael & Aretha Franklin

huh, the drop sounds just like Roses but with couple o' notes changed.

Nothing special, you know; and I'm already tired seeing this @ #1 literally everywhere :drama:

I was expecting something awful based on the names, but I actually like it. :o It's got something, and it's most similar to their best recent effort 'Roses'.

So A Sky Full Of Stars meets Roses. I guess it's fine, but both those songs are greater than this. Although... that last instrumental buildup is quite good and will probably be something I look for once I've inevitably heard this a dozen or so times.

although it does go against my constant desire for the top end of the charts to be less of an oligarchy but there we go

This isn't something I can take seriously from my favourite band within their discography, but as a Chainsmokers song, it's got some pretty nice and anthemic production for what it is and Chris is as great as ever so I'm fairly on board for now. Probably won't be feeling the same when it gets overplayed but I'd be down with this being the next huge selling number 1.

But then, was 'A Sky Full Of Stars' at the height of that Avicii sound being the hot trend?

I still think that managed to keep Coldplay's signature sound to make it not sound like a song solely by Avicii, this may as well be 'feat. Chris Martin' (I like this, don't get me wrong, but it's not 'them' at all and can't stand up to the rest of their discography)

okay this rather fab, i get some of the sub par reactions but it shits all over Closer, All We Know & especially Paris, at least it kinda goes somewhere unlike the other three and returning back to 'Roses' is definitely a positive I think!

Coldplay are very big with jumping on trends, they did it with both Rihanna and Avicii in their imperial phases and now they're doing the same thing with Chainsmokers.

The song sounds exactly like I'd expect a Chainsmokers and Coldplay song to sound. Which isn't totally a bad thing, it's just a little predictable sounding.

Omg this is actually v good !!!!!!

Of course though when they have bloody Chris Martin they let him sing the whole thing, yet they waste Halsey and Emily Warren :drama:

Love this. Like some people on here have already said, this song is a cross between "Roses" and "A Sky Full Of Stars". Would love to see this go to No 1.
