I have seen short term boosts in the past, may be not significant but anyway Ed is on "The One Show" as well in an hour or so, I will be surprised if he doesn't regain the lead by the end of the day (with whatever he performs).

Galway Girl hitting #1 would be awesome! It's so so different to anything we've had in the charts of late and culturally important too as it brings Irish influences to the chart. The best track on the album by far.

'Supermarket Flowers'... interesting choice. I imagine the mums and older generation will lap that up though, so I guess it was the right choice for 'The One Show' demographic.

Thought Barcelona was the worst thing Ed has ever done, then I heard Nancy Mulligan, oh my is he serious?

 

I can't stand Ed, but have literally just heard that song and I think it's by far the best thing he's ever done.

I heard 'Galway Girl' on Heart FM today, no surprise that's the highest album track! Sounded like a bit of a bop.

 

(can you not knock Lorde out of the top 10 though Ed :'()
