Did Gotye released any other proper singles after STIUTK?

I don't think there were any singles from the same album properly pushed, and he's mostly been working on music with his band The Basics, adding to his typically lengthy gestation periods between albums.

A part of me is here for the chart....a part of me is for this thread meltdown :kink:

http://mrwgifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Demi-Lovato-Popcorn-Gif.gif

I remember him having another song floating around at the time called 'Eyes Wide Open', Wikipedia tells me that it got to the dizzy heights of #78 here :kink: I don't recall anything else of his making an impact here. What an amazing song to be a one-hit wonder with *.*

One would expect that after such a big hit, anything else by him that would come afterwards would be signficantly noticed even if not that successful. Even Kimbra's Settle Down was more noticed even if it failed to impact.

Didn't 'Easy Way Out' by Gotye ever chart? I think I know that song more than I know STIUTK :o

With Gotye being brought up I want to give shout out to an all time favourite, he's got so much great music outside of that big hit

we expect a lot of Ed Sheeran songs :D

Oh gosh this chart is gonna be a MESS.

really hope Gotye comes back soon, hard to follow up a song like STIUTK

Thank goodness I'm a Ed Sheeran stan, otherwise I would dread this chart week.

This is alright I suppose. Hope their next one is a bigger hit.

curious to see what they do with the Ed songs, if they play all 16 of them or not, imo they should

Great start to the chart with 'Run Up'! :music: Probably the biggest grower of the year so far for me.

Afternoon all :hi: I am actually quite looking forward to the Ed domination today which I suspect will be a minority opinion in this thread :kink: looking forward to hearing 'Green Light' even more though *.*

As for retro faves...

[*] 10 years since 'The Creeps' and 'Say It Right'! I don't think I was much of a fan of the former at the tine but it has grown into a right tune over the years. 'Say It Right' was of course sublime from day 1. That Nelly era was so strong

The Creeps is not one of my favourites....although it is one of the better 2007 electro tracks (at least the vocal is good). I am sure it will be coming up in the dance number 1s of the 00s thread in a while. However this kind of minimal electro stuff in 2007 was such a comedown for me from the more lively house of the year before such as Make A Move on Me, Watchin, Thunder In My Heart Again, Love Don't Let Me Go and Tell Me Why etc.

Only listening for the reactions and to get in a listen of Divide (however much of it they play) without adding to its streaming numbers because lord knows it needs zero help there.

"I'm a Ronaldo, I'm a Ronaldo..."

Ed's album is really a mix bag but at least it has a few decent songs

Happier, New Man, Perfect, Supermarket flowers and the singles are ok

but I really hate it when he tries to rap

or his fake Irish folk songs :D

I love Run Up, I can see why it underperformed somewhat though.

Biography

Little Mix is a British girl group formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the UK version of The X Factor. They are the first and, so far, only group to win the competition. Following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. The members are Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson.

Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US. This made Little Mix the first girl group since the Pussycat Dolls to reach the US top 5 with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut US chart position by a British girl group, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls. In the UK, the album spawned the number-one single "Wings". The group's sophomore effort Salute, which was released in 2013, became their second album to debut inside the top 10 in both the UK and US. The album produced two top 10 singles in their home country; "Move" and "Salute". Little Mix released their third studio album Get Weird in 2015 and it is their best-selling and longest charting album to date in the UK. The album's lead single "Black Magic" reached number one in the UK and was also nominated for two Brit Awards in 2016. The group's 2016 fourth studio album Glory Days became their first number one album in the UK and was also the longest reigning girl group Number 1 since the Spice Girls' debut album 20 years ago. The album's lead single "Shout Out to My Ex" became the group's fourth UK number one single.

The group has received several awards during their career, including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards. They have also been nominated for two Brit Awards and one Japanese MTV Video Music Awards. As of October 2016 the group has achieved four platinum certified albums and eleven certified singles in the UK. - Wikipedia
