I don't think they should discount it just yet, maybe wait until Friday the 23rd (at the least) because if Radio 1 A/B-List it, Power has a good chance at top 10, maybe top 5 if streams and sales continue to improve and stabilize.

 

I think it should be discounted this Friday - strike while the iron is hot!

a mess, I read Joe's post wrong. I read his as "all of the era's" not "past 2 era's" so thats why I thought Juliano said Touch wasnt their best selling lmao

No all of them! Because if it's bigger than Secret Love Songs then it will be much bigger than Salute, which was their most successful post album single until SLS.

 

That's true. I didnt think of that, I always kinda split little mix between pre Black Magic and Post Black Magic because that's when their imperial phase started.

Little Mix are on a roll, another great single! The Stormzy section into the final chorus is such a great moment. I didn't particularly like Shout Out To My Ex but since Touch, I've loved all three singles! Easily their three best ever.
I can't see them going #3 today. Niall will probably rise again in the morning but PROME ME WRONG, queens!

I can't see them trying for the US next era after this year. They won't decline TV appearances if invited, but they should give up. It really doesn't pay off.

Just watched this video for the first time and I agree that it was CRYING out for a dance routine for the final chorus! It's nice enough though, my second favourite video of the era behind the one for 'Shout Out To My Ex'. The song itself is such an exciting and explosive ride :wub: It also ranks second for me this era in terms of song quality just behind 'Touch'. I am getting used to the Stormzy version now and the main positive is that I feel like it builds up to the final chorus more! Just as Stormzy's part is coming to an end, it fades so effectively with the LM vocals intertwining with his and it's a total "here it comes! *.*" moment when you just know this final chorus is around the corner. It sounds great when it hits - like they have saved the best bit until last and are throwing everything at you! Shocked but ecstatic that this is making impressive progress at the moment sans BGT performance! I thought it may be loved by the fans but a bit too risky and exciting for the current chart climate (reminds me a bit of some Girls Aloud singles in that respect, I am so here for this kind of risky, bold and slick girlgroup sound!), so hallelujah for that. Top 10 hit please!

It always has felt like the track that casual fans were aware of and loved. It's an obvious stand out from listen 1, from the brash intro to Jesy's motorbikes so it's hard to ignore. Absolute pop gold and I'm delighted they took a chance on this because I really never saw any risk :( Also getting very used to the Stormzy version myself and I agree about how it makes the final chorus hit harder even if I do miss Jesy's first "motorbikes" a bit.

How exciting is this? A 4th single... no BGT. I know the Sotmrzy feature is helping but I didn't think it would do that well
