SNT have always been very minimal with artists performing new songs. They usually have to sing a classic, Take That were allowed to sing Giants but they're a much bigger act.

Kaiser Chiefs performed their new song at the beginning of the show a few weeks ago (Hole In My Soul). As did Louisa, Take That and Robbie a few weeks ago (Mixed Signals).

Louisa only got 45 seconds of her song though and those other acts are much more established. Even Little Mix had to sing Black Magic instead of their current single.

The first performances are usually just brief to open the show, the "official" performances which take place at the end are almost always one of the acts' most well known hits.
