June 4, 20178 yr Having watched the top 3 performances, I'd still have chosen Issy but I won't deny Tokio's performance, it's just not at all my thing :/. Daliso was by far his weakest so far which was a shame, there was no way he was gonna win with that one :( Absolutely loved Issy's performance though bless her, much better than the first two I thought, it was so simple but still blew my mind and it just shone with childhood wonder and innocence as Ryan said, that's the perfect way to describe it. Tokio was very good but his facial expressions are so offputting lmao, Salvador Sobral teas (except good not f***ing awful xx). Gutted to hear DNA flopped, they were my faves along with Daliso going into tonight. I'll have to catch up on all the perfs tomorrow!
June 8, 20178 yr The Missing Persons Choir seems to have achieved a result... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40206264
June 10, 20178 yr Must say, despite the stick I gave the series earlier it was a brilliant final & SO refreshing to not be dominated by singing & dancing acts (plus the fact they got most of them out of the way early on). Seems to me this is the year the public have got bored of singers with the supposed "best singer ever" not even making the Final on votes & finishing 7th. Absolutely the right act won, he was outstanding - and got the pimp slot with such a short voting window which obviously helped, in the fact the last 3 finished as the top 3 unsurprisingly. I'd rank the final as: 1. Tokio Myers 2. Daliso Chaponda 3. DNA 4. Missing People Choir 5. Ned Woodman 6. MerseyGirls 7. Jess Issy Simpson 8. Matt Edwards 9. Kyle Tomlinson 10. Sarah Ikumu 11. The Pensionalities And Tokio would be 4th in my winners ranking after Attraction, Diversity & Spelbound.
