November 8, 20168 yr Excellent debut for Lady Wood in the US at 11 which is 3 spots higher than QOTC! Sold ~25k in the us Edited November 8, 20168 yr by 🎄cqmerqn🎄
November 14, 20168 yr Just listened to the album, the first half is the pretty decent, Lady Wood is my favourite so far, love the "WOOHOO WOAH!" bit.
November 14, 20168 yr I'm still so in love with this album, after listening to it a lot, Lady Wood is still a fave, Imaginary Friend has kinda worn off a little, really loving True Disaster as well and Don't Talk About It
November 14, 20168 yr Imaginary Friend gets me emotional for some reason lmao Omg yea, I totally get you on that, it only really hit me earlier when I properly listened to the lyrics  I think I've already overplayed it though which is the problem
November 14, 20168 yr Omg yea, I totally get you on that, it only really hit me earlier when I properly listened to the lyrics  I think I've already overplayed it though which is the problem  It sounds like a happy song if you're not listening to the lyrics but then..
November 30, 20168 yr That video has actually been released a while as a part of Fairy Dust but I'm guessing this is going to be the music video
April 8, 20178 yr There's been no official announcement, but shouldn't there be at least one more attempt to release a single that does well in the UK? Lady Wood lasted a single week on the album chart, peaking at just #40. Cool Girl and True Disaster both failed to make any kind of chart impact too. So will Tove Lo only be successful as a featured artist and not as a recording artist in her own right? Have her management already given up on her this early on in her career? It's concerning times for her I imagine, but a third single, perhaps with an acclaimed featured artist, might set the record straight.
April 9, 20178 yr She needs something, she is so incredibly underrated and I don't get why. Cool Girl seemed like it was gonna be such a hit :(
April 9, 20178 yr She needs to move the hell on from this flop of an era. Feature on some more dance songs preferably.
April 9, 20178 yr Well Cool Girl had excellent longevity and has racked up some decent sales despite its low peak. We won't be getting another single from Lady Wood. We're getting PT2 of the album soon.. She's doing just fine... I'm not worried for her at all. Edited April 9, 20178 yr by cqmerqn
April 9, 20178 yr In a perfect world, 'True Disaster' and 'Influence' would have been smash hit singles. :( I think as a commercially viable artist that's pretty much it for her now, and she'll release music low key and keep her niche fanbase. I can imagine she'll probably do lots of features and probably just make a career from that and songwriting. I adore her so much though, she's deserved better than she's got. I do think 'Cool Girl' was a catastrophic mistake really. Edited April 9, 20178 yr by mr_pmt
April 9, 20178 yr She needs to find the magic of great pop tracks like Habits/Talking Body/Not On Drugs/Timebomb again. No more Cool Girl shit pls, so bland even the UK didn't care about it
April 9, 20178 yr The thing is, the UK were very much here for Cool Girl. It was just poorly managed by her team. It went top 30 on Spotify and remained top 50 on there for weeks on end! The track was only just gaining momentum when it started to get removed from big radio playlists. So yeah, I don't think she's over quite yet. She could easily feature on some Calvin Harris or Chainsmokers track and become known again. She has so much potential, so I don't think her label will drop her or anything anytime soon!
April 9, 20178 yr Gonna merge this with the album thread I think as there is very unlikely to be a 3rd single given we are getting part 2 soon and this is all just sort of speculative about her situation rn :P
April 10, 20178 yr Cool Girl was a real bop, but perhaps overconfident as a debut release for album #2.
